Good day all. I’m indulging in a bit of hyperbole with the title of this post. The states controlled by the Progressive Totalitarian minded CommuNazis aren’t quite trying to re-institute slavery, they are just creating state mandates that are the equivalent of slavery.
In this case, now that Obamacare is dying on the vine thanks to President Trump, (With NO help from the GOP(e) Rino’s in the Uniparty), the states that love to think of their citizens as nothing more then property who’s sole purpose is to supply the state with labor and funds, are imposing their own mandates. Here are the details from Fox News:
Last year’s sweeping Republican tax bill killed the federal tax penalty for individuals who refuse to get health insurance as mandated under ObamaCare.
But as that penalty disappears for Americans in January, a growing number of liberal states are moving to enact their own individual mandates requiring residents to purchase health insurance – a last-ditch effort to preserve a critical part of former President Barack Obama’s 2010 health care law.
Since Republicans passed the tax bill in December, New Jersey, Vermont and Washington, D.C., have passed laws enacting an individual mandate, joining Massachusetts, which famously enacted an individual mandate while Mitt Romney was governor in 2006.
Mittens Romney was the governor of Massachusetts when they shoved their mandate down the throats of the citizens of Massachusetts. That gutless wonder could have vetoed it, and probably had the veto overridden. He would still have been on the record as supporting freedom and opposing the totalitarian views of the CommuNazi party.
Instead, that scumsucking dirtbag laughed as he signed away the civil rights of millions of people. Now that carpet bagging loser is running for the Senate in Utah for the seat that’s opened up when the current RINO. Orrin Hatch, announced his retirement. Mittens will probably win since the CommuNazis hate almost all religions, (Except Islam. They support that since Muslims will kill them if they don’t), and the people in Utah tend not to vote for Democrats. No, that Never Trumper will win and promptly screw things up in the Senate.
Conservatives are railing against the moves.
“Just when you think the move for government control of health care couldn’t get any worse, somehow it manages to,” Christopher Jacobs, a conservative health policy expert, said when the D.C. Council passed its individual mandate requirement in June.
Obamacare was never about healthcare or health insurance. It was about the totalitarian control of the people by the government.
Under Obama’s health care law, the individual mandate required most people to have health insurance meeting specific standards. The law imposed tax penalties for violations.
Thank you Chief Justice Roberts for that one. You and the progressives sided together to legislate from the bench and once again took away individual freedoms from the people.
But under last year’s final tax-reform bill, people no longer face a penalty for noncompliance as of January 2019.
“We eliminated the individual mandate that said that people had to buy government-approved insurance,” Sen. John Barrasso, R-Wyo., told Fox News in a recent interview. “In a sense, it blew a big hole in ObamaCare.”
Obamacare was and remains hated by the majority of Americans. Thanks to Obamacare, I saw my fairly reasonable insurance rates triple in as many years, to the point it was more then my mortgage. I had no choice but to give it up. I never even looked at the heaping pile of steaming crap they call insurance under Obamacare. Thankfully, I found a job and have insurance again. However, thanks to the mandates, the rates are higher then they should be.
The idea behind the mandate was to make sure young and healthy customers are buying into the system, to offset the cost of taking on more sick and elderly customers. The looming rollback has triggered warnings of more disruptions to the market.
“The ACA was about standardizing, and now we are going back to more divergence,” Heather Howard of Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs told the Washington Post. “It is much more of a patchwork quilt.”
I looked up Heather Howard. She is nothing more then a CommuNazi of the moonbat variety. As far as I can tell, she has never worked a singe day in the Dreaded Private Sector. The reasoning, if you can call it that, of the CommuNazis in the various state politburos, speaks for itself.
“Protecting the viability of the individual mandate is needed to maintain a foundation for the insurance market and to allow the success of the (Affordable Care Act) to continue,” New Jersey state Sen. Joe Vitale, D-Middlesex, a champion of the bill, said.
Vermont passed legislation enacting an individual mandate in May, though the details are still being worked out and it won’t take effect until 2020.
“We are committed to maintaining Vermont’s low uninsured rate,” a spokesman for Republican Gov. Phil Scott said at the time.
At least Vermont has a chance to roll back this disaster. As for Governor Scott? He should take his RINO ass and formally become a member of the CommuNazi party.
It comes as Democrats are embracing protecting ObamaCare – specifically the requirement to provide coverage to people with pre-existing conditions — as an issue in the 2018 elections.
The pre-existing conditions problem was something that could have been easily corrected and at significantly less cost, both in money and liberty. But then, Obamacare and the mandates have never been about healthcare.
Democratic leaders are also signaling that they will use it an issue in the upcoming battle over President Trump’s next Supreme Court nominee, though Republicans blame the law for rising premiums.
Yeah, good luck with that! The CommuNazi party, formally known as the Democrat Party, has moved totally into the Marxist, totalitarian camp. They have publicly stated that they no longer support freedom of speech or religion. They certainly hate the 2nd Amendment and are actively moving to revoke it.
The Democrat party is no different from any of the totalitarian parties of the 20th Century. Fascist, Communist, Nazi, Progressive Liberal Democrat. They all want(ed) the same thing. Absolute power and Obamacare was one of the means they planned to use to get it. They lost at the Federal level and are now moving to revoke the rights of the American people in the states they currently control. Now you can see why I call Democrats CommuNazis.
