The latest Internet Scam

Greetings everyone, this is the Angry Systems Administrator. Recently a new scam has started making the rounds, probably originating in East ButtFuckistan. The scam is pretty basic and relies on people not understanding how their computers work.

As near as I can tell, the original version of this scam had passwords from an old database somewhere that was hacked. I received one and recognized the password as one I haven’t used in 20 years the newest version isn’t even that good. Here is the text you might be getting:

It appears that, (), is your password. You may not know me and you are most likely wondering why you are getting this e-mail, right?

in fact, I setup a viruses over the adult vids (porno) web-site and you know what, you visited this website to have fun (you know what What i’m saying is). When you were watching videos, your internet browser began working like a RDP (Remote Desktop) which gave me accessibility of your screen and web camera. after that, my computer software obtained all of your current contacts from the Messenger, Microsoft outlook, Facebook, as well as emails.

What did I really do?

I made a double-screen video recording. First part shows the recording you were seeing (you’ve got a good taste haha . . .), and 2nd part shows the recording of your web cam.

exactly what should you do?

Well, in my opinion, $1100 is a reasonable price for our little hidden secret. You will make the payment by Bitcoin (if you do not know this, search “how to purchase bitcoin” in Google).

BTC Address: 1PUf21Eo8JnYFafbWii4UXnvHe8vMCa7Wh

(It is case sensitive, so copy and paste it)

Important:

You’ve got 5 days in order to make the payment. (I have a special pixel in this e mail, and at this moment I know that you’ve read through this email message). If I do not get the BitCoins, I will certainly send your video recording to all of your contacts including relatives, colleagues, and so forth. Having said that, if I get the payment, I’ll destroy the video immidiately. If you’d like evidence, reply with “Yes!” and i’ll undoubtedly mail out your videos to your 6 contacts. It is a non-negotiable offer, that being said don’t waste my personal time and yours by responding to this message.

Right off the bat, I can tell you that my password has never been (). Second, my webcam is unplugged and stays that way unless I actually need it. Third, I run security scans on all the Anger Central systems constantly.

This scam has been running around for a month or so, and this iteration is showing that some meathead, who probably saw one of the original messages that did have passwords, just copied the idea and blasted it out. It isn’t even as good as the original ones. When I saw that one I paused for almost 30 seconds before mumbling to myself, “Yeah, right. Pull the other one Boris.”  This one went right into the trash before I decided to pull it out alert those of you less knowledgeable then I on these matter.

Don’t waste your time with this moron and certainly don’t send him any bitcoin. If I knew where he was, I would make a call and send him a nice Hellfire missile. (Ok, I’m just fantasizing a bit here. I despises these scum) Just repeat this phrase: “If I saw it on the Internet, it Must NOT be true!” Except here of course, everything we tell you is the absolute truth!

Thank you
