Good day all. This came out a week ago. The Hungarian government, not noted for their political correctness, has decided that it’s time to concentrate their resources on university courses that are actually beneficial to the Hungarian people.
In order to carry this out, some college courses had to be discarded. The ones that they decided to lose are driving the Progressives into their safe spaces. Why? They Hungarian government has abolished the “Gender Studies” courses. Here are the details from Fox News:
Hungary’s populist government is stopping universities from offering courses in gender studies, saying there is no need for graduates in the labor market and they take taxpayer money away from other programs.
The move, announced this week, comes after Prime Minister Viktor Orban’s government won a comfortable majority in April after an election focused primarily on immigration. Since then his Fidesz Party has been implementing key parts of its election manifesto.
In a statement, Hungarian government spokesman Zoltan Kovacs said that there is “no demonstrable demand for graduates of ‘social gender studies’ in the Hungarian labor market.
“There is no economic rationale for studies such as these, and so we have reason to presume that it was not created in response to labor market needs, and equally not to furnish students with skills that can be readily and directly converted on the labor market,” he said. It is also questionable to what extent studies with admittedly such low student numbers are economical and sustainable.”
I disagree on there being no market for someone with a doctorate in gender studies. Where will Starbucks get their baristas? As you might expect, the usual suspects in the European Union are not happy with this decision.
Critics of the nationalist government say that Orban has been engaging in authoritarian tactics and this move is likely only to fuel such claims.
When a Progressive refers to a political leader, popularly elected, doing something they don’t like, it’s always called “Authoritarian.” If they do it, it’s “Social Justice.”
But Kovacs, the government spokesman, said that such programs “take valuable resources away from other programs, and deteriorate the economic stability of universities.”
“State universities operated from public funds must take this into consideration as the purpose of these higher education institutions is to meet genuine social and labour market needs,” he said.
I suspect that Prime Minister Orban’s people took a look at the trash that is coming out of both American and European universities and decided that enough is enough. If only President Trump could do this. However, we have a different form of government and at the moment there are way to many CommuNazis in Congress to let him gut the Department of ReEducation and shut off the flow of taxpayer funds to some of the universities we have, such as The Evergreen State College. Oh well, that’s going to take a few elections I’m afraid, or a flat out civil war. (I prefer the former thank you very much)
There is a reason Prime Minister was elected, and then re-elected. He is listening to the people and not to the progressive elitists who think they’re the rulers of Europistan. This is the same reason Donald Trump was elected over that corrupt, smelly old hag, Felonia von Pantsuit. Prime Minister Orban, like President Trump, is a winner and is working to Make Hungary Great Again. (Hopefully that works better in Hungarian)
