Rules for Patriots

Good day Angry fans. It is I, the Angry Webmaster. While checking my RSS feeds this morning, I noticed a little blurb from our friends over at the Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler. It wasn’t a post put up by Emperor Misha, but one of his subordinates. It’s titled Rules for Patriots and they’ve requested it be spread far and wide over the innerwebtubes.

The posting is a slight modification of one from the American Thinker titled Rules for Republicans and I agree with the minor changes. Basically he changed the word Republican to Patriot, his thinking being that there are to many Republicans who want to get along with Democrats and will give up their principles in order to do so.

However, I’m going to post the original from the American Thinker and let you decide which one is more appropriate.

The Republican Party Establishment has had a severe spanking ((Spanking with a 2×4 to the back of the head)) this election season, with a large number of RINO incumbents being crushed in wither their re-election bids or their attempts to move into higher office.

So, without further delay, from The American Thinker,

The Rules for Republicans ((By Paul Jacobson))

1. The era of liberalism is over.
Today there are no liberals in power; there are only radical leftists. They are the enemy, not the opposition. Their ideology is not simply wrong; it is evil.

2. It is impossible to be too cynical about the intentions, motives, and truthfulness of radical leftists.
They will always exceed our most horrifying expectations.

3. Radical leftists are continually seeking to destroy America’s historic foundations, particularly our Constitution.
Their goal is to rebuild upon the rubble according to their own evil vision and to gratify their insatiable lust for tyrannical power.

4. Radical leftists are continually seeking to infiltrate and undermine American institutions.
They are especially attracted to institutions where there are unearned wealth, sinecures, and ambiguous standards of accomplishment.

5. Our people must always be seeking to restore America’s tested, historic, foundational principles and to guard and protect our Constitution and our cherished institutions.

6. Civility must never trump truthfulness.
Civility is a highly commendable virtue; truthfulness is vastly more commendable.

7. Ideology must never trump truthfulness.
We Republicans need to constantly examine our own ideological principles to make sure they are, first and foremost, true. Then we must proclaim them boldly and straightforwardly.

8. Never try to out-compassion a bleeding-heart radical leftist.
Conservatism is the most compassionate — and most truthful — political philosophy there is. Radical leftism, by contrast, is based on false promises intended not to better the lives of anyone, but to recruit gullible, ignorant people as “useful idiots.”

9. Challenge radical leftists to live up to their own publicly proclaimed ethical principles.
They never do. They just fake it. (Cf. Alinsky Rule #4: “Make the enemy live up to their [sic] own book of rules.”)

10. Refuse to use the favorite language of the radical left.
Their language is always intended to spread lies and propaganda and to create confusion, fear, and retreat, not to convey truthful information.

11. The language our people use should boldly convey real information accurately, precisely, and above all, truthfully.

12. Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.
This is Alinsky Rule #5, word for word, but we Republicans have a special advantage in applying it to radical leftists because ridicule or satire, to be really effective, must be rooted in truth. That’s why leftist ridicule flops; it’s usually based on lies.

13. Attempting to reason with intractable, hardcore radical leftists will always end in futility.
Such people are incorrigibly anti-rational, so it is impossible to establish an authentic interlocutory interface with them. The only realistic way to engage them is to crush them politically, using any and all truthful and lawful tactics.

According to Mr. Jacobson these rules are not a counterpart to Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals, ((I’ll let you look them up. I can’t be bothered. The Management)) but are in fact, diametrically opposite from them.

The recent primaries have NOT covered the Republican Establishment in glory. To put it bluntly, they got their heads handed to them and deservedly so. All their hand picked candidates were pretty much blown out of the water by the Tea Party groups.

The losers have pretty much proven why they are losers. Arlen Specter ((Senator, Pennsylvania)) bolted from the party when he figured out that he was going to lose the primary. The same thing with Charlie Crist. ((Governor, Florida)) Other hand picked disasters by the Republican Establishment include:

1. Dede Scozzafava ((2009 New York 23rd district))
   
2. Lisa Murkowski ((Senator, Alaska))
   
3. Mike Castle ((Representative, Delaware))
   
4. Bob Bennett ((Senator, Utah))
   
5. And others I don’t recall
   

What do all these people have in common, besides getting rejected by “The People?” By and large they were chosen and backed by the Establishment. Lets look at how the Republican Establishment was thanked by these losers:

1. Arelen Specter, Bolted to the Democrat Party
2. Dede Scozzafava, backed her democrat opponent in the general election when she lost the primary.
3. Charlie Crist, running as an independent once he realized he was going to lose big time in the primary.
4. Lisa Murkowski, just lost and has announced she will conduct a write in campaign.
5. Mike Castle, lost the primary and had a snit fit and refuses to back the winner.

Now you can see why our friends over at the Rottie Empire changed the title from Republican to Patriots. To many of the Republicans only want to maintain their seats in Congress. They are part of the “Ruling Class” and are willing to bend over and “compromise” with the Democrats.

The democrats do not have any interest in compromise. They are interested only in absolute power and totalitarian rule by the Elites. Sort of what happened in The Soviet Union. The Constitution, in their minds, is a rotten document and is to either be ignored or abolished as soon as possible.

So, here are the rules helpfully provided by Mr. Jacobson. When you run into a leftist who starts spewing their usual verbal manure, reply to them with facts and use these rules as a guide post.

Remember, the one chance we have to save the United States is only a few weeks away. Your vote counts.
