Good day all. This is a breaking story, so the 72 hour rule is in full effect. (Something that Progressives might want to try using) There has been a crash at a Gay Pride parade in Fort Lauderdale. This happened last night, (Saturday June 19th) At this time the cause is under investigation.
What we do know is that someone in a pickup sped into the parade and hit several people, killing at least one. The driver apparently was part of the parade. This hasn’t stopped the usual suspects, (Ignorant Progressive Liberal Democrats), of making accusations of terrorism. Here are what details we have from Fox News:
A pickup truck driver slammed into a crowd at a Florida Pride parade on Saturday evening – narrowly missing U.S. Rep. Deborah Wasserman Schultz and leaving at least one person dead, according to reports. At least one other person was seriously injured, reports said.
As expected, the stupids quickly came out and demonstrated their stupidity quite stupidly.
Fort Lauderdale Mayor Dean Trantalis quickly denounced the crash at the Wilton Manors Stonewall Pride Parade as a “terrorist” attack on the LGBTQ community but police have said they haven’t determined if the crash was intentional.
I looked up the Mayor, Dean Trantalis. He isn’t just a moonbat, he is a moonbat’s moonbat. Like all progressives, he instantly jumped to the wrong conclusions without waiting for a pesky little thing called “The Facts.
The Fort Lauderdale Gay Men’s Chorus later issued a statement: “Our fellow Chorus members were those injured and the driver was also a part of the Chorus family. To my knowledge, this was not an attack on the LGBTQ community.”
The driver was reportedly waiting to join the parade as a representative of the chorus when he accelerated into fellow members waiting to march.
Oops! Looks like someone was wrong about the motive, as in, THERE WASN’T ONE!
Investigators were speaking with the driver, who was in custody but authorities wouldn’t say if he had been arrested, Fort Lauderdale Police Det. Ali Adamson told reporters.
Oh I think it’s safe to assume he’s going to be charged. Unless there was some sort of mechanical failure or other extenuating circumstance that is, and there may very well be. That’s what investigations are for.
Witnesses said the driver told police the crash was an accident, according to WPLG-TV in Fort Lauderdale. He said he lost control of the truck after his foot became stuck between the gas and brake, according to WFOR-TV in Miami.
That isn’t impossible, especially if he has big feet and was wearing boots. I’ve had my feet get tangled in the pedals when I’m wearing boots, however I haven’t had the Anger Central Primary Transport take off on me. In any case, the police will figure out what happened. However, there is a federal wrinkle to all this.
The FBI is assisting with the investigation.
Why is the Freaking Bunch of Idiots doing sticking their noses into this? It appears to be a straightforward accident. Of course, that means nothing to the American Gestapo. They’re probably going to charge this poor sap with some phony baloney hate crime. Right now this is a LOCAL matter for the LOCAL police. They should tell the FBI to go back to their offices and if they’re needed, they will be called.
In the meantime, we need to step back and let the investigators investigate. Since the driver appears to have tried to turn away and crashed the truck into what looks like a garden center. It’s also festooned with gay pride flags and stuff. Eventually, we will know what happened.
