Good day all. Govno Wretched Gretchen Whitmer is one of the worst governors currently in office. She ranks down there with Govno Gavin Hair Gel Newsom and Andrew Flaming Cuomo. When the Panicdemic of 2020 started, she was quick to assume absolute total power over people’s lives, and turned Michigan into a virtual police state.
People took her to court over her orders and in a few cases, they were able to prevail. Wretched Gretchen would then ind another way to keep the serfs in chains. Finally, The People had enough and circulated a petition to strip Whitmer of the authority she had been abusing. Last week, the Michigan House and Senate voted to strip er of that authority and she can’t do a thing about it. Here are the details from Fox News:
Michigan legislators have stripped Gov. Gretchen Whitmer of the emergency powers she freely wielded during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The state Senate approved the Unlock Michigan initiative on July 15. On Thursday, the Republican-controlled state House passed the measure with a 60-48 vote largely along party lines.
“Yesterday was a great day for Michigan, and yesterday was anything but partisan politics,” Michigan Congresswoman Lisa McClain told “Fox & Friends First” on Friday. “It was the voice of the people saying enough is enough.“
I’m not surprised that it went along party lines. The Democratic CommuNazis are all in on absolute power and rule by the Progressive Elite.
Whitmer utilized powers granted by the Emergency Powers of Governor Act of 1945, which allowed her to enact significant health and safety restrictions in the early days of the pandemic. Whitmer faced immense pushback and public protests against lockdowns in April. Armed protesters gathered at the state’s Capitol to demand Whitmer repeal stay-at-home orders.
That protest led to a plan initiated by the FBI to kidnap Wretched Gretchen, but that is a story for another day. What did happen was the petition drive, and Wretched Gretchen tried to use the lock-downs as a way to suppress the signature gatherers. She slowed them down, but in the end, freedom won out of tyranny.
The governor had repelled a similar push to limit her powers in March 2020 when Senate Bill 1 made its way to her desk: The bill aimed to amend the state’s public health code by limiting orders from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services to no more than 28 days of effect unless approved by both houses of the State Legislature.
“Unfortunately, epidemics are not limited to 28 days,” Whitmer said in a veto letter, according to MLive.com. “We should not so limit our ability to respond to them.”
There was no way this incompetent tyrannical cow was going to voluntarily surrender any of her power. She has been so drunk on it that she flat out threatened the car manufacturers in that state with shutting down their plants. (Interestingly, she suddenly stopped pushing that idea. I suspect some very quiet words were given to her along with a query on her continued good health)
Now you may be wondering why Wretched Gretchen didn’t just veto this bill once it went to her desk? The Legislature wouldn’t have been able to override her veto. The answer is simple. It never went to her. As I understand it, since this was a petition, if the house and senate pass it, it becomes law regardless of what the Governor may want. Basically, Govno Wretched Gretchen Whitmer is flat S.O.L. A tip of the hat to the people of Michigan for the virtual 2×4 to the back of Whitmer’s head. Now you just need to remove her from office.
