Good day all. You may have noticed that over the last few years, I started referring to the Democrat Party as the “CommuNazi” Party, or the Progressive Liberal Democratic CommuNazi Party. The word is an amalgam of Communist and Nazi, two of the most murderous political movements in history.
I thought I had created a new word when I started using it. Sadly, this turns out not to be the case. The word was coined decades ago, before Nazi Germany attacked the Soviet Union. Imagine my surprise, and disappointment when I found out that I had not originated the word.
However, even if I didn’t invent the word, I do believe that it’s time to bring it back into fashion and start using it when referring to the modern Democrat Party. First, we should look into the history of the word, and I started with that ever so accurate font of information, Wikipedia. This is the entry on the word:
“Communazi” is an American political neologism, “coined by a reporter” and made popular by Time (first September 11, 1939) days after the Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact (a neutrality pact between Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union signed in Moscow on 23 August 1939 by foreign ministers Joachim von Ribbentrop and Vyacheslav Molotov). It implied that both Communism and Nazism were one and the same because they were essentially totalitarian, whether left or right in belief. It continues to receive mention, largely in its historical context, to the present.
For those of you who are historically challenged, the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact was a treaty between Nazi Germany and the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. It did two things. First, it set in motion the start of the Second World War when Germany and the USSR invaded Poland. It also bought time for the two countries to prepare for the inevitable war between them. (Hitler always planned on invading the Soviet Union, and Stalin was rebuilding the Red Army after decades of purges, with his plan to invade Germany. Hitler launched first)
When the pact was signed, it caught both the Communists and the Nazi sympathizers around the world by surprise. Many soviet fellow travelers in the media, (New York Slimes for instance), were at a loss on how to proceed after spending years hammering on the Nazis. Once their handlers were given their instructions from “Mother Russia,” the Slimes and other papers began singing the praises of the pact.
Once World War Two kicked off and the Nazis invaded the USSR, the term, not really used much, basically vanished, hence my surprise when I found out I hadn’t invented it.
Now for the current usage that I’m trying to make more popular, using it as a replacement for the Democrat Party. You may be asking why am I using this word? The answer is simple and complex. First, look at what the Democrat Party has become. It’s never been big on the Constitution or civil liberties for most of it’s existence, and it was the Democrats that, truth be told, started the American Civil War.
According to Wikipedia, the early Democrats were, surprisingly, more like the Constitutional Republicans of today. They favored states rights and limited government. However, there was a major break inside the party between the Southern slave owners and the Northern Democrats. This allowed a new party, the Republicans to win the 1860 election and put Abraham Lincoln into office. One thing led to another and the civil war broke out.
After the war, the Democrats solidified in the South and remained solidly Democrat until recently They were also opposed to the Amendments that ended slavery and granted citizenship to the now freed slaves. The Democrats also created the Ku Klux Klan, and created Segregation. (The Klan was the Democrat Party’s storm troopers, much like Antifa is today, just under better control)
When the modern Civil Rights movement started, the Democrats constantly opposed it, until it reached a point that they understood they couldn’t stop it. Then they moved to make it their own.
With the able assistance of the MSM, along with the Young and Stupid Flower Children leaving school and moving into politics, the Democrat Party started moving further and further to the left. In the 70’s and 80’s they actively aided the Communists, doing everything they could to tie the hands of Republican presidents. They also pushed a big government socialist agenda of high taxes and massive regulations of businesses.
Of course, the love affair with Communist Totalitarianism didn’t start in the 70’s for the Democrats. They started sucking up to them by 1920. They also had some use for some of the Fascist ideas and some of the Nazi’s ideas of controlling the “Means of Production.” Of course, rather then flat out taking the business away from the owners, (Who would have flat out murdered them), they just regulated everything.
This led to the rise of Franklin Delano Roosevelt, who, arguably, could be considered the first dictator in America. His New Deal was all about grabbing power for the state and used much of what the Communists and Socialists had dreamed up. They were also big on segregation and rule by the elite. (The Country Club Republicans were also big on rule by the elite, as long as it was thei9r elite doing the ruling)
This brings us to modern times. By 2000, the Democrats a bit at a loss on who to worship since the USSR had collapsed. Of course, we had the globalists of the Bush administration, and they weren’t that much different from the Democrats. (See Uniparty) For a brief moment after 9/11, both parties were on the same page. Then the Bushies screwed up as the RINO’s tend to do and the hard left had it’s chance. We ended up with the Great Mistake, Barack Obama.
The Left saw all their dreams start to come true, but they didn’t reckon with the people in Flyover country. First there was the Taxed Enough Already (TEA) party, which they managed to suppress, and then came Donald Trump and his slogan of Make America Great Again. He won the election he wasn’t supposed to and the Progressives went berserk.
Democrats at the state level went all in trying to “Get Trump!” with some assistance from the RINO’s of the Uniparty. What they underestimated was President Trump was the first Republican in a long time to hit back harder when he was attacked. Then came the Great Panicdemic of 2020 and the Democratic governors took this as their opportunity to go full on totalitarian. It was at this point I started referring to them as either CommuNazis, Democratic CommuNazis or Progressive Liberal Democratic CommuNazis.
As far as I could see, there was not one iota of difference between the Communists and Nazis and what the modern Democrat Party was trying to do. Now that they have managed to steal the 2020 election, they are going full bore to tear up the Constitution while they still have a chance. No one trust the Main Stream media any longer, and Big Tech is now seen as a flat out threat to the freedoms Americans take for granted.
And now you know why I use the term CommuNazi when referring to the Democrat Party and those who are members of it. About the only thing I may change is dropping the capitol “N” I use in CommuNazi. It’s not used in the old stories from the 30’s, and I see no reason to go against those who are far better writers then I ever will be.
