Good day all. This story has been making the rounds for the last few days and is still ongoing. A United States Marine Lt. Col, Stuart Scheller, was relieved for cause a few days ago when he went online and blasted his superiors over the debacle in Afghanistan.
From what I’ve been reading, the Marines really didn’t have a choice but to relieve him. However, it appears that LtC Scheller knew exactly what the cost to him would be and felt that he couldn’t remain silent, even at the cost of his career. It seems that he is not backing down or being apologetic. Here are the details from Fox News:
The maverick Marine fired after he released a now-viral video slamming the U.S. military for botching the exit from Kabul issued a clear threat to his aging superiors Saturday.
Oooh that isn’t good. That could lead to worse then relief from his command. So what did he actually say?
“The baby boomer’s turn is over,” Lt. Col. Stuart Scheller told The Post. “I demand accountability, at all levels. If we don’t get it, I’m bringing it.”
He also quoted Thomas Jefferson, saying “every generation needs a revolution.”
I can see how that can, and probably will be interpreted. It doesn’t help matters that, thanks to the current leadership, both civilian and military, people are thinking the unthinkable.
Scheller’s family and former troops say they’re not surprised the officer sacrificed his career in order to tell his truth.
“It takes real courage to do what he did and that was Stu all the way,” Juan Chavez, 33, of Valparaiso, Indiana, who served under Scheller from 2011 to 2014, told The Post Saturday. “He was a magnificent leader, a breath of fresh air, who was always going to do what’s right, even if it goes against the grain.”
I’ve found the video that LtC Scheller made on Rumble.com. (I’m not going to waste my time to see if it’s on YouFlub. Even if it is, they will remove it for “Violating Communist Community Standards” or something.
Scheller, 41, a 17-year Marine veteran three years short of qualifying for a full pension, went viral Thursday after he posted a four-minute, 45-second video to Facebook in which he appeared in uniform and ripped into military leadership following the devastating suicide bombing at Kabul airport, which killed 13 U.S. service members and at least 169 Afghans.
Ten of those lost were Marines, along with two U.S. Army soldiers and a Navy Corpsman. For those of you who don’t know, a Navy Corpsman is a medic, and this one was probably assigned to the Marines since they don’t have organic medics the way the Army does. Also, there is a very good chance that Colonel Scheller has just lost his pension. The odds of him being allowed to complete his final three years could be estimated as between zero and none.
He specifically called out Marine Corps Commandant Gen. David H. Berger, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark Milley.
“People are upset because their senior leaders let them down, and none of them are raising their hands and accepting accountability or saying, ‘We messed this up,’” he said.
That is an understatement. When the first plans under President Trump were being developed to withdraw from Afghanistan, the basic idea was to keep Bagram airbase and evacuate from there. It has lots of runways, is defensible and can handle the number of planes that would be needed.
They would have flown out all the American citizens, any foreign nationals, such as Australians, American Legal Resident Aliens, (Green card holders), and any Afghans who may have been at risk if the Taliban took over. The equipment would have been either removed or destroyed in place, and finally the troops would be the last to leave.
This is taught in every single military school in the world. This is exactly what President Dementia did not do. As usual for Biden, he chose the exact wrong way to do things and we’re seeing the results now. The Taliban overran the entire country and Kabul collapsed and all the civilians who should have been the first out, are being abandoned by President Bumbles Dementia. Is it any wonder that Lt. Col. Scheller blew up?
A married father of three boys who lives in Jacksonville, North Carolina, Scheller seemed to have had a brilliant military career before he did the unthinkable and broke rank with the Marine Corps. He received a Combat V for Valor and a Bronze Star.
But now he’s a hero to many in the military for, as one person commented, “coming out with what everyone was thinking but was afraid to say.”
And that’s the problem with to many officers in the United States Military. Lieutenant Colonel Sheller did something that is, quite literally, unthinkable to most officers. He decided the only way to help the Marine Corps and the United States Military was to sacrifice his career for what he sees as the greater good.
There is absolutely no question whatsoever that the Joint Chief’s of Staff knew what a disaster was in the making when Dementia Joe decided to just cut and run rather then do the normal orderly withdrawal. I hope they said something to that senile idiot, and more importantly, his handlers. Without question, they know he is not fit for the office.
When they were issued these orders, they had two choices. They could object, and resign their commissions, or they could think about their retirement packages and the perks they will get, and just keep their mouths shut. We can see what they chose to do.
In his video, Scheller said the U.S. should never have abandoned its most strategic airbase – Bagram – early this summer. Milley said on June 23 that Bagram “wasn’t tactically or operationally necessary” for the U.S. military’s final exit from Afghanistan.
Milley is a disloyal sleaze. There are reports that he disobeyed orders from President Trump and that he may have been plotting to remove him from office if President Trump didn’t leave January 20th. President Trump made a few mistakes during his term, and not having people review the “Quality” of the current officer corps is one of them.
Far to many of these people, with Milley leading the pack, are nothing more then Woke incompetents who are doing a disservice to the Military and to the United States. That this incompetent idiot cold say that Bagram wasn’t needed shows that he should be relieved. Instead he’s going on witch hunts looking for nonexistent “White Nationalists and supremacists” in the military.
Scheller said some of his fellow officers, while supportive, urged him to take down the video.
“Obviously I didn’t take it down,” Scheller wrote in a later Facebook post. “I’ll offer this … we can’t ALL be wrong. If you all agree … then step up. They only have the power because we allow it. What if we all demanded accountability?”
Ten’s of thousands of people have seen the facebook video, shared it and liked it. Marines who served under him are saluting him and backing him. Without question, Lt. Colonel Sheller’s career in the United States Marine Corps is over. I suspect he will be “Allowed to resign” (The last thing the Moonbats in Washington should do is court martial him and make him a martyr) Hopefully, he will land on his feet and do well. Hmm, the 2022 Midterms are coming up. There are a lot of Communazis and RINO’s who need to be shown the door. Perhaps he might consider Congress or the Senate?

Lieutenant Colonel Stuart Shilling has resigned his commission and is separating from the United State Marine Corps. He is also not going quietly into the night.
“I could stay in the Marine Corps for another three years, but I don’t think that’s the path I’m on. I’m resigning my commission as a United States Marine, effective now,” Scheller said. “I am forfeiting retirements, all entitlements, I don’t want a single dollar. I don’t want any money from the VA. I don’t want any VA benefits [even though] I’m sure I’m entitled 100%.”
