Good day all. There have been a lot of reports regarding the Ukrainian air Force and whether or not they’re still flying combat sorties. There has also been a fair amount of propaganda as well. There is no question that the Ukrainians have lost a lot of their aircraft.

This has led the old Warsaw Pact countries, which flew the same planes as the Ukrainians to look into giving them to the Ukraine. The problem has been that senile idiot in the White House who was delaying things, (On orders from Putin. OK, Tinfoil hat territory, but what the Hell, right?) It’s just been announced that the Bumbles Dementia maladministration will “Allow” countries like Poland to send their surplus Migs to the Ukraine. Here are the details from the Post Millennial:
In a Sunday interview, the Biden administration’s Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that NATO member nations have the “green light” to go ahead and send fighter jets to Ukraine amidst the country’s ongoing invasion by Russia.
Well, that was nice of him to say “OK, go ahead. We’re fine with it. Putin didn’t come through on his promised purchase of Hoovernose’s latest “Masterpiece.””
A White House spokesperson told CBS News that the Biden administration is currently “evaluating the capabilities it could provide to provide jets to Poland” if it decided to transfer planes to Ukraine, but noted that there are several questions that could arise from the decision to do so, CBS News reported.
I think the one question is how to get the planes into the Ukraine without expanding the war. If the Poles let the Ukrainians arm the planes and fly them into the war zone, technically they would be allowing them to conduct combat operations from allegedly neutral territory.
If the don’t permit weapons on the planes, (or ammunition for the cannon), then the planes are sitting ducks for the Russian Air Force. Now I had an interesting idea. Fly the planes to a road near the border that is suitable for flight operations. (Someone I know says that is actually quite common in that area) Then, hook the planes up to a truck and tow them across the border to another suitable section of highway where a ground crew is waiting to arm and fuel them.
In any case, a dozen or so fighters with pilots who know how to fly them are going to be a serious pain for the Russians, especially in those areas where they are lined up bumper to bumper. There are a couple of memes floating around about A-10 pilots seeing the pictures in the Ukraine and either having to be restrained or breaking down and crying that they can’t strafe the living daylights out of them. In any case, I think it’s going to be an interesting development.

I don’t understand why the fedgov thinks it has a right to interfere in a transaction between two sovereign nations. I hope the Poles tell China Joe to get bent.
