Good morning angry Fans. It’s the Angry Systems Administrator. I’ve been working on the back end of things this morning and you may see some odd behavior.

I’m sure you’ve noticed that the site seems to have gotten a bit slow to load over the last few months. We’ve noticed it as well. It started when we upgraded to WordPress 3.x a while back. I’ve been digging through various plugins and other things trying to find what might be causing the issues. We also see this on the back end when we load the admin interface.

This morning the Last.FM plugin suddenly started throwing errors and basically wrecking the site. I had to go in and disable it and that brought the site back up. It also seems to have lowered the load time a bit. I also suspect the ads system may be slowing things down a bit and I’m looking into how we can best optimize it.

You will probably see certain features disappear and reappear as I go through my troubleshooting. If you have any suggestions please send me email via the contact form. I make no claims of being a super genius. I just keep plugging away until I find a solution.
