Greetings friends, it’s the Angry Webmaster again bringing you more of his snide opinions. 🙂
This time it’s a poll I saw on foxnews.com regarding trust in government.
Surprise surprise, most people don’t trust the government. According to Fox News:
Only 33 percent of voters say yes, they generally trust the government, a record low according to a Fox News poll released Wednesday. The previous low was last year’s 35 percent (June 2010). The level of trust has dropped a total of 21 percentage points from a post-9/11 high of 54 percent trust in June 2002.
A majority of voters — 62 percent — do not trust the government. That’s up from 60 percent last year, and up significantly from 36 percent in 2002.
I’m sure we’ll soon see the usual Main Stream Idiots Media saying that this is “Unexpected.” To continue from Fox:
This sentiment of distrust is widely felt, as the poll found younger voters, older voters, as well as high and low income voters alike — all about equally likely to express distrust in Uncle Sam.
In addition, nearly half of Democrats (48 percent), as well as majorities of independents (68 percent) and Republicans (76 percent) do not trust the government.
You’ll notice that the majority of Democrats are complete and utter morons and continue to support the government. The reason for this is simple, They all benefit from the government, either as government workers or welfare recipients. In other words, the useless dregs of America.
Historically, Americans have always distrusted the government. As our greatest modern president once said, “The nine most terrifying words in the English language are: ‘I’m from the government and I’m here to help.” ((Ronald Wilson Reagan)) It was the incredible incompetence of Herbert Hoover, who would have fit right in with today’s Democrat party, that screwed up the economy. This led to the Crash of ‘29 and the Great Depression. People lost trust in everything and when Franklin Delano Roosevelt came on the scene, everyone gave him what he wanted. He said he would fix things.
Of course, the New Deal was a disaster and not only prolonged the Depression, it also gave rise to Regulatory America.
Ever since then, the bureaucracies have been growing like a boil on the butt of America. No due process, no right to your property, fees, fines and taxes out the wazoo. It has reached the point where these agencies, (The EPA comes to mind) are actively destroying the very fiber of America.
Some in Congress are now trying to reign in these out of control agencies, but that time is long past. Now, shut them down cold. Strip them of their regulatory power and fire everyone working there.
The recent plans by the EPA to enact a Cap and Trade system, in direct violation of the will and instructions of Congress, will lead to massive increases in electric rates and in all probability, rolling blackouts. As far as these scum are concerned, this is a good thing.
Frankly, this is one reason to not allow an increase in the debt ceiling. If you can’t pay these slimeballs, then they won’t come in to work. Ronald Reagan always thought the best way to shut down Big Government was to “Starve the beast.” Now’s our chance.
So, if you don’t trust government, (and most of us don’t), call your reps and tell them not to raise the debt ceiling. They’ve wasted enough money. Time to starve the beast to death!
Remember, the next election will decide the fate of the United States. Vote in Obama and the Democrats and you seal our fate. The Great Experiment will end.
That is all
