Federal Agents grab Illegal in New Hampshire courthouse

Good day all. This story has a very local flavor to it. Last month Federal Agents, I’m assuming they were ICE agents, (One wasn’t, see below), tackled an illegal alien in a court house in Nashua, New Hampshire.

For those who may not know, the Anger Central offices are in Nashua New Hampshire. The court house in question is a 15 minute walk from our front door. I’m rather annoyed that I wasn’t aware of it when it happened, but now that I do, here are the details from Fox News:

A Venezuelan man in the United States illegally was tackled at a New Hampshire courthouse by federal agents earlier this year after he fled from their attempt to detain him quietly in an elevator.

I do so love security cameras. The whole thing was caught on tape.

Arnuel Marquez Colmenarez, 33, was taken into custody while he was heading to a court arraignment on charges for drunken driving, driving without a license and failing to provide information after an accident, according to The Associated Press via the Nashua Police Department.

Video from Feb. 20 that was released by the Nashua Circuit Court on Monday showed Colmenarez going through security at the courthouse and getting into an elevator with the federal agents and a few other people.

As others left the elevator, an agent can be seen touching Colmenarez lightly on the shoulder, then talking to him. The video does not include audio, but Colmenarez can be seen running out of the elevator after a few seconds.

I can hazard a guess as to what the agent said. “Hey Juan. We’re Federal Agents and we have a plane ticket back to Caracas with your name on it.”

Two agents chased him out of the elevator and threw him to the ground a few feet away, knocking down an older man who was walking with a cane in the process.

That was an accident no doubt and although the video clip ended, I assume they helped him up, identified themselves and apologized. One of the things I saw in the clip on Fox News was the agent presenting his credentials when he came into the courthouse. He wasn’t with Immigration and Customs Enforcement, he was with the ATF. It’s nice to see the ATF doing something that was actually useful for a change.

Court liaison officer for the Hudson Police Department, Jared Neff, said he was in the prosecutor’s office when he heard something going on near the elevators and decided to go check it out.

“There were voices yelling ‘Stop!’ and then a loud ‘bang’ which sounded like people had fallen on the ground and were actively fighting and struggling,” he wrote in an incident report, according to The AP.

That bang was probably the older gentleman that illegal ran down trying to get away. It took a minute for someone to assist him, and I hope he is ok. He took a bit of a hit and he didn’t see it coming. The agents told the Officer Neff that they wanted to take the illegal in the elevator to try and avoid any problems. As for the illegal? It seems a bench warrant was issued since he didn’t show up for his hearing.

A bench warrant was issued for Colmenarez since he failed to show up for arraignment and the prosecutor over the case was not contacted by federal agents beforehand nor was aware of his arrest, according to The AP.

Oops! Oh well, them’s the breaks. Currently Colmenarez is cooling his heels in a detention center in Texas while arrangements are made to kick his ass out of the country. Now for those who may not know, New Hampshire is NOT a sanctuary state. Neither is the city of Nashua. We generally don’t have that many problems with illegal aliens up here crime wise, certainly not like they do in Massachusetts.

The main reason for this is that, like our home grown criminals, the illegals don’t want to interact with people up here. Why you ask? The short answer is, they don’t want to get shot.

This clown wasn’t breaking into peoples homes or trying to mug them as far as I know. He just got loaded and got bagged for drunk driving. Now he’s going to be shipped back to Venezuela where he can get drunk and drive around all he wants. Goodbye and good riddance.
