Good day all. The fun and games that the Texas Democrats are engaging in is backfiring spectacularly. Governor Abbott and Attorney General Ken Paxton have begun the process to declare the seats of the Democrat Legislators who have left the state vacant.
The Attorney General is also looking at criminal charges for these Democrats along with fines. I can’t speak to any of this since I don’t know the laws in Texas. However, a recent case may have just cut the financial legs, at least some of them, out from under the Democrat crybabies. Here are the details from Fox News:
A Texas judge ruled Friday against Beto O’Rourke and his nonprofit in a case brought by state Attorney General Ken Paxton, who accused them of illegally raising funds to support Democratic lawmakers fleeing the state to block GOP redistricting legislation.
Oh yes, our favorite Texas Soi Boi and fake Latino, Robert “Beto” O’Rourke. This perpetual man-child and political Leftard loser is once again showing that the modern Democrat Party has the collective IQ of box of rocks. One of the things that AG Paxton is looking at with regards to the runaway democrats is charging them with taking bribes. (Personally, I think that may be a stretch, but we shall see)
Tarrant County District Judge Megan Fahey handed down a temporary restraining order Friday evening against O’Rourke, a former congressman and Democratic presidential candidate, and his group, Powered by People, over alleged “unlawful fundraising practices” tied to efforts to support Texas Democrats who fled the state — including funding air travel, lodging, logistics and daily fines.

Unlawful fundraising practices? In other words, he was following the Democrat Party’s Standard Operating Procedures?
“Defendants have and will continue to engage in unlawful fundraising practices and utilization of political funds in a manner that either directly violates or causes Texas Democratic Legislators to violate [the law],” Fahey wrote in her Friday evening ruling. “Consumer have and continue to suffer irreparable harm through these unlawful acts because they are making political contributions that are being used to fund personal expenses and violate state law.”
Ok, that was a mouthful. Let me see if I, in my layman’s understanding of the law, can decipher all this. To begin with, the Democrat Fleebags are apparently in violation of Texas laws regarding holding political office and doing the jobs they were elected to do. (Again, I don’t live in Texas and have no clues on how things work down there) O’Rourke’s Political Action Committee is raising funds and distributing these funds to the Democrats who are refusing to do their jobs and have fled the state. This means he’s paying these deadbeats to continue their illegal activities.
Fahey’s order bars O’Rourke or his group from continuing to fundraise or provide financial support to the fleeing Texas Democrats. The ruling came only hours after Paxton’s office filed a petition for a temporary restraining order against O’Rourke.
Needless to say, the Soi Boi isn’t happy with this turn of events.
In response to the ruling, O’Rourke put out a statement arguing that Paxton is trying to shut down his nonprofit “because our volunteers fight for voting rights and free elections,” which he called “the kind of work that threatens the hold that Paxton, Trump, and Abbott have on power in Texas.”
I guess Soi Boi Beto has forgotten what he said he would do if he became Governor of Texas. He basically said he was going to order the confiscation of semi-automatic rifles and institute draconian gun control. He certainly doesn’t believe in fair elections. He is on record as opposing voter ID laws which makes sure that Democrats can’t cheat. Here is what Grok has to say:
Beto O’Rourke has consistently opposed voter ID laws, describing them as “racist” and “draconian” during his 2019 presidential campaign. He argued they suppress voter turnout, particularly among minorities, and proposed legislation to allow voting without ID by signing a sworn statement of identity. He has also criticized Texas’ voter ID laws, comparing their verification measures to tactics used in “banana republics.”

“They want to make examples out of those who fight so that others won’t,” O’Rourke added. “Now Paxton’s filed a restraining order to try to take us out of the fight. He wants to silence me and stop me from leading this organization. He wants to stop us from fighting Trump’s attempt to steal the five congressional seats he needs to hang on to power. But I’m not going anywhere. I plan on speaking at our rally to stop the power grab in Fort Worth tomorrow afternoon.”
I think we are seeing a classic case of Progressive Projection. Soi Boi is blaming Abbott and Paxton for all the things that the Democrats usually do. The claim that the Republicans are “Stealing 5 seats” assumes that the seats are the property of the Democrat Party. To begin with, the seats or districts don’t even exist yet. That was the purpose of the whole redistricting process. It also shows that the Democrats aren’t really popular throughout a good chunk of Texas, (Or the country for that matter).
“Cry more, lib,” Paxton said in response to O’Rourke’s statement. “You lost in court because you’re breaking the law and deceiving Texans. We absolutely will make an example out of law breakers.”
Again, I will state I do not know what the laws in this case are since I’m not in Texas. However, most Democrats genuinely believe that the laws do not apply to them, only to those they consider “Inferiors.” In other words, Republicans, Trump Supporters and anyone who won’t toe the Progressive Liberal Democrat line.
In addition to Powered By People, Paxton also launched an investigation into the Texas Majority PAC, which has also been accused of being a major funder of the fleeing Texas Democrats.
I’m going to assume that this is not really associated with Soi Boi O’Rourke. That is, unless they’re colluding and conspiring to help the Runaway Democrats.
Meanwhile, O’Rourke filed his own lawsuit against Paxton in El Paso district court on Friday, The Texas Tribune reported. O’Rourke has accused Paxton of launching a “fishing expedition” and asked a judge to block Paxton’s investigation into his nonprofit’s practices.
Yeah, I think it’s safe to say Good Luck with that. We already have Act Blue trying to not have everyone associated with them go to prison for fraud. I think there are other investigations or reviews of other Democrat fundraising groups, especially since DOGE found a few “Questionable” things during the audits. If Paxton is looking at potential criminal activities, any judge shutting that down might find themselves in the cross hairs as well. However, that’s something for another day.
***Update***
The Democrat runaways are throwing in the towel. There has also been an update on the Beto O’Rourke case. Basically he’s been all but shut down. Governor Abbott is also planning on another special session of the legislature to force the Democrats to actually do their job and vote on the redistricting plan. No, the Democrats a not feeling to good at the moment.
