Good day all. Once again, Representative Jasmine Crockett is in the news. Normally we see her making a complete ass of herself while stroking her ego. Usually she’s insulting President Trump and anyone who supports him, or threatening those very same supporters.
Now a news story has come out that I doubt she ever wanted to see the light of day. It seems that when it comes to being an employer, she is, like so many on the Democrat side, an absolute boss from Hell. Here are the details from Fox News:
Democratic Rep. Jasmine Crockett, one of the most prominent anti-Trump voices in Congress, is the subject of a scathing report this week that labels her as a “diva” and someone who terrorizes staff members.
Several congressional aides who worked for or with Crockett told the New York Post this week that Crockett, 44, described the firebrand congresswoman as “rude” and rarely present in her Washington, D.C., office except when the cameras are rolling.
“She is laying around her apartment, won’t come into the office, and is really just indifferent to staff and will scream at them,” one former aide told the outlet, adding that Crockett is “never in the office” and “very disengaged.”
Hopping over to the New York Post story:
A second source close to Crockett’s team added: “It is widely known that she’s not nice to staff and is just not a really dedicated member focused on constituents.”
“She is focused almost exclusively on being an influencer, not a member of Congress,” said a third source who has worked with Crockett, describing her as “all diva, no wow.”
I can’t say I’m all that surprised when I read this. She is nothing more than an ambulance chasing spoiled brat. When I saw ambulance chasing, I mean just that. One of the major parts of her “Law Practice” was handling lawsuits from car accidents. (Think personal injury) She was also doing pro bono work for Black Lives, and no one else’s Matters. I think she ran for office to make herself more marketable once the voters boot her from office.
When Crockett does show up for work on Capitol Hill — often to attend a committee hearing where she deploys a made-for-social-media attack on Trump — she prefers to have a staff member drive her the short distance to her office in a rented car rather than the staffer’s own, a cheaper option commonly used by lawmakers.
There are four reasons for a staffer to drive the Representative or Senator. Security of course. The congress member is probably reviewing documents and then distance along with weather conditions. Finally, parking. The congress member really doesn’t have time to deal with parking. However, in Crockett’s case, it looks like she feels that as one of the “Ruling Elite” it’s her right to have the best of everything at taxpayer expense.
The staffer is expected to stand outside the vehicle, which “has to be an Escalade” or similar upscale make, and open the door for her.
“You’re technically allowed to do this but it’s wildly inefficient. Instead of using the scheduler’s car, she rents a car every week in DC,” one source said.
“She expects her staff to drive her around while she’s in the back seat,” they added, calling it a “power play” akin to “treating the staffer like an Uber driver.”
Returning to the Fox story, Crockett doesn’t seem to spend a lot of time in her assigned office either. She rents space, again on the taxpayer’s dime no doubt in a luxury office complex. (Another reason she has to be driven to Capitol Hill) I suspect that since she’s never in the office, she doesn’t have to be bothered with her constituents when they show up to ask for help or something.
“The staff is really just an island unto itself, because she doesn’t care about the local issues happening in her district,” a source told the New York Post. “She’s more focused on, ‘Get me on “The View,” ‘Get me on this late-night talk show.’”
The report goes on to say that Crockett has burned staff members at a rapid pace due to a “toxic staff environment” that has left Black female staff members feeling a lack of empowerment.
Ok, that’s interesting. I’m rather curious on these female staffers who are looking to be “Empowered.” Shouldn’t they be looking to get their assignments done and potentially improving their future employment potential?
Crockett was criticized earlier this year when she appeared to board a flight while skipping ahead of two passengers in wheelchairs in an incident that is reportedly indicative of her overall personality.
“Her cutting in line in front of a handicapped person is really indicative of the type of person she is,” a source close to Crockett told the New York Post. “She is interpersonally very rude and doesn’t get along well with people.”
I recall that incident and considered doing a post on it but with all the other things that were going on, I didn’t bother. That was back in May apparently and according to the New York Post, Crockett bulldozed her way to the front of the line with the classic “Do you know who I am peon?” What is it with Black, Female Democrats from Texas anyway? I saw something today that said that Sheila Jackson Lee had been banned from a major airline for being a complete ass. Apparently, she is also being compared to Sheila Jackson Lee and not in a complimentary way.
Well, hopefully, she will find herself redistricted right out of her rotten borough and actually have to compete for her seat in congress. In any case, I would like to see the Democrats lose the seat, but since it is a Democrat district, perhaps someone who actually gives a damn and is not quite as crazed, lazy and spoiled will primary her worthless ass and send her back to ambulance chasing.
