Good day all. Once again, we are seeing just how incompetent, stupid, corrupt and flat out dangerous the Democrat controlled states are. In this case, it’s all the illegally issued Commercial Drivers Licenses issued by states such as New York.
This all came to a head a few months ago when a family was killed when an illegal alien driving an 18 wheel tractor-trailer made an illegal u-turn causing the family to crash into the truck. It was quickly discovered that the driver barely spoke English and couldn’t read it. He has been given a CDL by Kalifornistan. Since then, the Transportation Department has been looking into all the CDL licenses and have discovered that states like New York weren’t even trying to verify the qualifications, let along the immigration status of a large number of CDL holders. Now the Secretary of Transportation has had enough and is going after New York. Here are the details from Fox News:
Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy warned that the federal government will yank tens of millions of dollars from New York state if they do not “come into compliance” with rules pertaining to the granting of commercial driver’s licenses.
Duffy indicated that the state has 30 days to get in line.
Would anyone care to guess if New York will clean up their act? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller? Bueller?
“Fifty-three percent of New York’s non-domiciled CDLs were issued unlawfully or illegally,” he said during a press conference on Friday.
More than half of the CDL licenses issued by New York are illegal? Forget pulling the funds, (Well no, don’t forget. In fact, do it now), this smells a lot like some serious criminal activities at the state DMV may have occurred.
He asserted in a post on X, “We’re holding New York accountable for issuing non-domicile commercial driver’s licenses to truckers illegally. FULL STOP. We’re giving New York 30 days to comply or we’ll withhold $73 MILLION! The safety of the American people comes first.”
Never mind the money, well, now, pull that back, what needs to be done is announce that ALL CDL’s issued by New York are now considered to be invalid and that anyone with a New York CDL who is on the road, needs to park their rigs or face prosecution.
Duffy blamed the prior presidential administration during the press conference.
“We have this problem because Joe Biden and Pete Buttigieg did not enforce the law. And millions of people came into the country during their tenure and then when they were here, these rules were still there,” he said, accusing them of turning “a blind eye.”
Well, with Dementia Joe Biden, he really wasn’t much more then a figurehead. He was to busy falling down stairs, falling up stairs, eating ice cream and fondling 12 year old girls. Buttplug was flat out incompetent at the job, when he actually bothered to shop up. The damage done by the Worst, most Corrupt President in American History is going to take years to clean up, and dealing with all the states issuing illegal CDL’s is one of those issues.
New York State Department of Motor Vehicles spokesperson Walter McClure has accused Duffy of lying about the Empire State.
“Secretary Duffy is lying about New York State once again in a desperate attempt to distract from the failing, chaotic administration he represents. Here is the truth: Commercial Drivers Licenses are regulated by the Federal Government, and New York State DMV has, and will continue to, comply with federal rules,” McClure said in a statement.
“Every CDL we issue is subject to verification of an applicant’s lawful status through federally-issued documents reviewed in accordance with federal regulations. This is just another stunt from Secretary Duffy, and it does nothing to keep our roads safer. We will review USDOT’s letter and respond accordingly.”
The problem for McLure is that Duffy and the entire GOP has learned one thing over the last 8-10 years. Bring receipts. Secretary Duffy would not be making this accusation if he didn’t have the facts and figures to back it up. One of those pesky little facts? Apparently, a lot of the CDL’s issued were stamped “No Name Given.” Right there, that is a major red flag. Add to this, the CDL licenses are also supposed to be Real ID enabled. If all this is accurate. McLure and the State of Decay New York do not have a leg to stand on. Let’s see what happens next.
