Good day all. We are getting our first major snowstorm of the season, and, frankly, the first one in several years. Anger Central’s offices are in New Hampshire, and a major storm is now moving across half the United States. In New Hampshire, we’re looking at snow starting to fall Sunday around 10am EST.
As you might expect, the Mostly Stupid Media are going into full blown “Oh My GOD!! We’re all gonna DIE!!!” mode. There are people I know in Texas, where it’s a bit colder than usual and from the pictures I’ve seen, a small amount of snow has fallen. They are panicking that the world is coming to an end. Those of us up in the Northeast, where the current estimate is between 0-100 inches, are taking it in stride.

I went on my weekly grocery run for the Anger Central Primary Dwelling and also for the office, (The Angry Systems Administrator demands his snacks and goes through several pounds of coffee a week)
It was no busier than normal and I had no delay checking out. There was one section in the bread aisle that was empty, but the brand was on sale so no real surprise. The Angry Wife is planning to stay at her bosses house for the duration because she hates driving in bad weather. Also, they are expecting a lot of business and already have a number of reservations for Sunday.
When I got home from the market, I broke out the Anger Central Snow Removal System. It was a bit sluggish to start and I had to plug in the electric starter. This is due to not being used much this season. I’ve also called my two favorite snow removal experts, but they might be to busy fit me into their schedule.

I’m not worried about the snow. I’ve been through a lot worse. We may get close to two feet between Sunday and Tuesday, and it’s going to be annoying. I’ve long since grown tired of dealing with snow. However, I never grow tired of snarking on those who might see an inch for a day and go into a blind panic before the temperature goes back to the low 50’s. I will say that if you don’t need to drive, then don’t. The snowplows would appreciate it if you stay off the road. It makes it easier for them to line up on mailboxes.
