Govno Maura Healey changing her tune on Green Energy

Good day all. As many of you know, Anger Central is based in the Free State of New Hampshire. To our south is what I refer to as the “People’s Democratic Republic of Taxachusetts.

Massachusetts have been ruled by the Democrat Party for decades and it shows. Massachusetts is a high tax state with most of your constitutional rights considered to be privileges, especially the 2nd Amendment. The Democrat Party has also been big on the whole Global Warming/Climate Change nonsense and has gone all in on so called “Green Energy.” The results are not surprising. Electric and heating costs for serfs in Massachusetts are through the roof.

Now Govno Healey is beginning to feel the heat, so to speak. It’s election season and she her term is up. She is running for reelection and is finding out that being a total Karen doesn’t get her votes when people have to make a choice between eating or not freezing to death in the dark. Now she is walking back her previous positions. Here are the details from the Washington Times:

Do not ask Dom Naples about his heating and electric bills without expecting an earful about the steep rise in prices and fees that make it increasingly difficult to heat his modest Bay State home. Gov. Maura Healey, Mr. Naples said, “is hammering the residents of this state” with policies that have made Massachusetts energy among the most expensive in the country.

And I have little doubt that this clown voted for Healey when she ran for governor the first time.

Ms. Healey, facing a rising fury about the high cost of heat and electricity as she runs for a second term, took an extraordinary step. She asked the Department of Energy to expedite approval of a natural gas pipeline expansion project in the state.

This is a180 degree turn for Healey. Not to long ago, she was chortling over blocking the project.

Just a few years ago, Ms. Healey wagged her finger and proudly boasted of her role in blocking two natural gas pipeline projects while serving as the state’s attorney general. That move, which contributed to residents paying much higher prices for natural gas imported from overseas, has become a top campaign talking point for her Republican opponent, former medical-device executive Mike Minogue.

And now you can see why Healey is “Changing her position.” Minogue intends to do everything he can to expand natural gas pipelines. With the increase in energy costs that can be laid directly at the feet of Govno Maura Healey, it’s small wonder that she is “Changing her positions.”

“Now, [in the final stretch of] the election, she’s following my lead,” said Mr. Minogue, calling Ms. Healey’s pivot on natural gas “all talk and no action.”

And it’s a safe bet that when Healey is reelected, (As much as I want to see her going down in flames, Massachusetts is a Democrat controlled state. While the actual residents might vote her out, all the transients, in other words, all the college students, will happily vote her back into office)

This month, Ms. Healey made public a letter she sent to Energy Secretary Chris Wright urging him to expedite the federal government’s review and approval of the Algonquin natural gas pipeline expansion project. The pipeline, she said, would “get more U.S. natural gas into New England” and “deliver savings to customers.”

In the letter, Ms. Healey signaled support for an even larger pipeline expansion, Project Beacon, which would increase natural gas flow into the state by 10%. The Algonquin and Beacon projects are scheduled to begin serving the state by 2028 and 2030, respectively.

Perhaps they should hook Govno Healey up to a generator. With that change of position, she rotated so fast that she could have solved the state’s power needs for the next century.

Massachusetts is one of several blue states reconsidering stringent and costly green energy policies that have led to sky-high electric and heating bills.

Rhode Island, Connecticut and New York recently reduced or delayed deadlines for converting the electrical grid to renewable energy or slashed emissions reduction targets. Massachusetts and New Jersey moved to pause fees tacked onto utility bills that fund green energy projects.

This is the standard operating procedure for Democrats and the cities and states they mismanage. Raise taxes to pay for their personal projects that none of the people want and then turn around and make things even more expensive. As for the actual money? Most of it seems to end up in the hands of connected Democrat “Consultants.” Now people are getting fed up and the second standard operating procedure, Blame President Trump and the Republicans isn’t working anymore.

“Healey is starting to feel the heat of the ratepayer revolution,” said Paul Diego Craney, executive director of taxpayer watchdog group Massachusetts Fiscal Alliance. “People are getting fed up with the high costs of paying for the net-zero climate mandate.”

Ms. Healey’s reelection prospects are not exactly under threat in deep-blue Massachusetts. She leads Mr. Minogue by an average of 20 percentage points in recent polls, but her support, hovering around 54%, has dropped from the nearly 64% she garnered in her first-term win four years ago. Voters list the high cost of heating and electricity as their top concern, and some blame her for the increase.

I would say that yes, she is to blame, along with all the other moonbats, socialists, communists and other over-educated trust fund fools that infest the state government. Of course, these very same voters put these people into office in the first place and aren’t capable of learning from their mistakes. They will continue voting for the very same people who are bankrupting them.

According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration, Massachusetts residents paid an average electric bill of $174 in July for baseline usage, but most households shelled out closer to $274 per month, which was 67% higher than the national average.

My electric bill for the Anger Central primary Dwelling peaked in the summer at around $150. This was during a heatwave and we had the Air Conditioners running. In the winter, it drops significantly, although if it gets to cold, I may run a space heater for short periods in my office. That will jack up the bill.

Massachusetts residents pay more than 30 cents per kilowatt-hour, which is significantly higher than in nearly every other state.

I knew it was bad, but I didn’t know it was that bad.

Ms. Healey, seeking to reduce those costs, put some of the state’s green energy ambitions on the back burner.

Back burner means that she fully intends to bring them back out again, probably 10 minutes after she’s confirmed as the winner of the election.

She recently paused a fee on residential and commercial utility bills that pays solar panel owners for the electricity they provide to the grid. She also directed the state to help households pay sky-high heating costs with money that electricity companies pay for failing to meet the state’s emissions-reduction mandates.

That idiot might try getting rid of those mandates. Utilities are very highly regulated and jamming down one requirement after another, all in the name of political expediency and “Feelz” isn’t going to get their desired results. Instead, the utilities may just decide to shut down the plants as to expensive to upgrade to the new requirements. Considering how things work in Massachusetts, there won’t be any replacements for those plants, which means buying power from other states at significantly hire prices.

Ms. Healey has not backed off the state’s goal of achieving 35% renewable electricity by 2030, however. Nor has she pulled Massachusetts from the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative, which both contribute to higher energy costs. Under her administration, the state aims to be carbon-neutral by 2050, and those anti-fossil-fuel policies will continue to keep energy costs above average, according to green energy critics.

Needless to say, the Watermelons, aka Greens, (Green on the outside, communist red on the inside), are utterly opposed to Healey even thinking about rolling back the goal of reducing Massachusetts to a state of rolling brown and blackouts. They also want to ban anything using an internal combustion engine as well. Electric cars are acceptable to them, but with a collapsed power grid, those cars will not be going anywhere until the solar panels finally recharge them…in about a month or two.

“This letter unwittingly adopts the false narrative that expansion of gas infrastructure will lower heating costs for New England families and businesses,” said Caitlin Peale Sloan, Conservation Law Foundation vice president for Massachusetts.

Spoken like a true idiot. This Karen obviously doesn’t understand the concept of supply and demand. When the demand outstrips supply, prices go up. When the supply is higher than the demand, then costs to the customer go down. Of course, I don’t think Govno Maura Healey understand this either. In any case, her sudden reversal is nothing more than a political move to shore up her support and help her keep her phony baloney job. I wonder is her next reversal will deal with illegal aliens?
