And the latest stupidity from California is…

A ballot initiative that would let illegal immigrants work in Calif. Legally. Yes, you heard that one right. California wants to reward criminals who can’t be bothered to go through the immigration process and enter the United States lawfully.

Nope, why should they be required to spend money and wait their turns like millions of others who do obey the laws? You know, people like Mrs. Webmaster?

Here are some of the details from the Arizona Daily Star:

Nearly 1 million undocumented immigrants could live and work openly in California with little or no fear of deportation under an initiative unveiled Friday by a state legislator and others.

And who is this legislator who is usurping Federal law?

Assemblyman Felipe Fuentes, a Democrat, is helping spearhead the measure, called the California Opportunity and Prosperity Act.

A Democrat. What a surprise…NOT! So, what is Comrade Legislator Fuentes reasoning? (If he is capable of reasoning. He IS a Liberal Progressive Democrat after all)

Assemblyman Felipe Fuentes, a Democrat, is helping spearhead the measure, called the California Opportunity and Prosperity Act. “I hope this shows Washington, D.C., that if they fail to act, California will take the lead on this critical issue,” Fuentes said in a written statement.

Allow me to explain a few things to Comrade Legislator Fuentes. The Federal Government makes immigration policy, not the states. In case you hadn’t noticed, there’s been a few states that have gotten fed up with the Federal Government not enforcing current immigration laws and they have been passing their own laws to catch and hand over TO FEDERAL AUTHORITIES people in the United States illegally. These laws are being challenged in court on the basis that the states are usurping federal prerogatives. All they are doing is trying to enforce federal laws on a local level.

What this butthead is doing is outright reversing federal laws, not trying to compliment or implement them on the local/state levels. Other than throwing open our borders to the dregs of humanity, what other reason could Comrade Legislator Fuentes and his supporters have for trying to do this?

Supporters say the initiative could generate up to $325 million in new tax revenue from undocumented workers that could assist education, public safety and other state programs.

Really? That works if they actually started to PAY taxes stupid. In case you haven’t figured this out, these criminals would have to get this thing called a “Social Security Card” and/or a “Taxpayer ID Number.” Those are issued by the Federal government, not the People’s Democratic Republic of Aztlan State of California. Even the Abomination Obama Administration might balk at that. I wonder if everyone in the California State Crackhouse Legislature agrees with Comrade Legislator Fuentes?

Assemblyman Tim Donnelly, a Republican, blasted the proposal as an attempt to sidestep immigration law. He predicted that it wouldn’t have a “snowball’s chance in hell” of winning voter approval. “There’s a proper process for coming to this country,” Donnelly said. “Why don’t you respect that?”

I know! I know! The reason Comrade Legislator Fuentes and the rest of the Proletariat supporting this stupid idea don’t support the lawful process is simple. It prevents them from creating their nation of Aztlan and turning the American Southwest into the same sort of third world hellhole they so admire.

Considering the unemployment rate in California and the virtual collapse of the state’s economy, I really don’t think this will pass. If, by some miracle, (Ballot box stuffing), it does pass, it will be challenged in federal court and promptly tossed into the local politically correct recycling center. This doesn’t even pretend to be upholding federal immigration law on a local level. (Something the states that have implemented sanctions on illegal aliens claim)

Hopefully this won’t get the required signatures to be put on the ballot. Oh who am I kidding? ACORN and all the rest of the criminal class are already practicing their forgery skills for the petitions. Somehow, I doubt it would win at the ballot box and the defeat would be far beyond the range the Communists Democrats normally consider “Cheatable.”
