Noted anti 2nd amendment scholar mugged

Greetings people. I’m a bit late with this one, but it’s worth it. Noted anti-Second Amendment Supreme Court Justice, Stephen Breyer ((United States Supreme Court Justice Stephen G. Breyer)) was robbed in his vacation home at machete point.

Justice Breyer, who has repeatedly ruled against the private ownership of firearms, was paid a visit by a machete wielding intruder in his West Indies vacation home during the week of February 5th. Somehow, I find it amusing that this left-wing statist thug was nearly turned into chopped jurist.

Fox News has the story of course.

The 73-year-old Breyer, wife Joanna and guests were confronted by the robber around 9 p.m. EST Thursday in the home Breyer owns on the Caribbean island of Nevis, spokeswoman Kathy Arberg said. The intruder took about $1,000 in cash and no one was hurt, Arberg said.

Now, if this same criminal had tried this in a state such as Texas, we would be reading about how a home owner had killed a machete wielding intruder, and that no charges would be filed against the home owner.

Breyer is one of four USSC justices who believe that the constitution really doesn’t mean what it says, especially if it restricts the actions of the government and empowers the individual. He utterly detests the second amendment and thinks that it was included in the constitution simply for political purposes. Here are a few lines from Moonbattery.com:

The Constitution doesn’t need to be upheld in the District of Columbia, because if you want to exercise the fundamental rights upon which our republic is founded, you can always ride the subway to Maryland — or to Virginia, after the same reasoning leads to the Second Amendment’s repeal in left-leaning Maryland — or to North Carolina, if liberal DC suburbs overwhelm the rest of Virginia — or… You get the point.

I’ve looked at the gun laws in Maryland. Basically you can’t have one. They have a list of firearms they have banned because they look bad. You have to get permits, pay fees, all to own a gun. Where I live, I just walk into a gun shop, show some ID, fill out some forms and I can have any gun I want. (I’m not certain, but I think I can also have a machine gun if I want to pay for it. I would have to get some federal paperwork done of course. AW) So what else does Justice Breyer say?

Breyer also holds that the Second Amendment doesn’t really count because, according to him, James Madison only included it out of political necessity. It isn’t necessary to uphold the Constitution; it’s only necessary for leftist apparatchiks to uphold the values and intentions they choose to project upon the Founding Fathers.

Do you think I’m joking? Here are his own words:

Breyer was appointed by that paragon of virtue, Bill Clinton. ((William Jefferson “Slick Willy, The Silver Zipper” Clinton)) He should have never been allowed anywhere near any sort of judgeship beyond traffic court. He likes to rule legislate from the bench and doesn’t see a problem with that. He also has a few problems with the Constitution and believes that it is a “Living Document” that he can change at will. Frankly, he and the other three idiots have shown that they are unfit to be on the bench. They should be invited to resign, and if they refuse, they should be removed for cause. ((Malfeasance, Misfeasance and Nonfeasance of office))

Sadly, impeaching judges who make law instead of interpreting the law requires a congress with ethics, honesty and balls. That is a congress we haven’t had for a long time. Maybe we can get one in 2013.

Barking Moonbat

That is all.
