Hijackers find Chinese Airlines unfriendly

Greetings all, I saw this little news blurb out of China this morning. Apparently some very stupid RIF’s decided it would be a good idea to hijack a Chinese airliner. The passengers quickly disabused the surviving terrorists of that idea. Here are some of the details from the Global Times:

Air crew and passengers foiled an attempted hijacking of a plane Friday noon in China’s far west Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, local police said.

Six people tried to hijack Tianjin Airlines’ Flight GS 7554 just 10 minutes after it took off from Hotan Airport at 12:25 am, en route to the provincial capital Urumqi, according to the region’s Public Security Bureau.

“All six of the hijackers were ethnically Uyghur, and they tried to break into the cockpit using a broken crutch as a weapon, but were overpowered by passengers and crew,” Hou Hanmin, chief of the regional information office, told the Global Times, adding that investigation is ongoing and whether the hijackers are part of a terrorist group remains unclear.

If they tried to hijack an aircraft, and they are Muslim, then yes, they are terrorists. Now, according to News.com.au, two of the hijackers died of their injuries.

The Global Times newspaper reported that two of the suspects died in hospital from injuries they suffered during the ensuing fight with passengers and crew on board.

Apparently the terrorists DIDN’T see the movie about the United Airlines flight 93, but the passengers did.

They were tackled by police and passengers who tied them up with belts before the plane, carrying 101 people, returned to the airport safely just 22 minutes later.

Apparently, the two who terrorists that are now good terrorists, (Dead ones), were restrained with the use of multiple blunt instruments to the head and hopefully secured with a very tight rope around the neck.

As to what will happen to the surviving RIF’s? China has the death penalty and they make extensive use of it. This is a clear cut criminal matter. No need to worry about politics here. They will get a speedy trial and then a bullet to the head. Couldn’t happen to a nicer bunch of fools.

Congratulations to the passengers, crew and police on the aircraft for taking down these scum. We don’t know why they tried this stunt, but after 9/11, we can’t assume it’s just a robbery. Terrorists no longer try to hijack Israeli aircraft. The Entebbe raid put paid to that. As for American planes? 9/11 and the UA Flight 93 counterattack showed that Americans now feel they have nothing to lose by going after hijackers. Now we can add China to that list of airlines where the passengers will defend themselves at the expense of the criminals.
