Review: Papa Johns Pizza

Good day all, it’s the Angry Systems Administrator with another review. In this case, I’m reviewing Papa John’s Pizza. (Man does not live by Chunky’s alone after all)

Now I’ve generally gone to small local pizza shops, but they’ve become rather pricey and the quality can vary significantly. Last winter, I decided to look at some of the big chains. The first one I tried was Domino’s Pizza. It was cheap and they had a special at the time. It was ok, but nothing to write home about. My next choice was good old Pizza Hut. It’s a bit better then Domino’s, but a bit pricey. Also getting to it was a bit of a hassle. (I don’t do delivery. I’m to cheap)
Then I saw an ad for Papa John’s on the tube one night. (That would be television to the youth of the world, not YouTube) I recalled seeing it not far from the Anger Central Main Office and thought I would give it a try. I was impressed. Unlike Domino’s, when I ask for extra sauce and light cheese, they actually give me extra sauce and light cheese. I really like the Jalapeno and garlic dipping sauce that’s included with the pizza.

All three companies have online ordering, which I use, however it looks like only Papa John’s has a “club” that lets you get a free pizza after you’ve bought a few. Free is always good. Another think I like is that the pizza lasts. By this, I don’t mean that the leftover pizza will last, I mean that there IS leftover pizza in the first place. One of my problems, and one major reason I don’t get pizza all that often, is a habit of trying to eat the whole thing in one sitting. Domino’s and Pizza Hut, along with other local establishments just don’t fill me up. With Papa John’s, I can eat one or two slices and I’m actually full. This means I will have several days worth of leftovers and I don’t feel like I just ate a buffalo an hour later. (Cold pizza for breakfast! An American tradition!)

The Papa John’s I go to is a couple of miles from our offices and is very handy. I’m usually in and out in a matter of minutes. The establishment is clean, the people there are good humored and the aroma carries out into the parking lot.

Therefore, I heartily recommend Papa John’s Pizza.

Thank you

Papa John’s Pizza sounds awesome. I’m a big fan of Pizza Hut myself because I love their cinnamon bread sticks.
