Eastwood versus the Empty Chair

Good day all, You may have noticed that I haven’t posted anything about the Republican Convention that occurred last week. The reason is simple. I didn’t watch it. I don’t plan on watching the Democratic Train wreck masquerading as a political convention either. Because I didn’t watch the show, I missed a few interesting parts, such as Clint Eastwood speaking to an empty chair.

I’ve read a great deal about it, but until a few moments ago, I hadn’t actually seen the clip. Thanks to YouTube, Clint Eastwood’s conversation with Obama’s empty chair is all over the internet. Who am I to fight the forces of nature? After all, I’m not anything like an Eco-moonbat-nitwit. So, here is Clint Eastwood having a discussion with Obama’s empty chair. (He was probably on the golf course again)

There has been a lot of controversy about this speech. The left has gone ballistic of course. According to that noted scholar on racist code words, Chris Mathews, using the word “chair” is now racist. Other have said that Eastwood did this on his own and that Romney didn’t know about it. While it is likely that Romney didn’t know personally what Eastwood was going to do, you can bet that people in the campaign went through the whole thing with Eastwood before he set foot on that stage.

Clint Eastwood himself didn’t look all that well. Considering he is 82, this isn’t surprising. Still, he did a fine job of making Der Fubar look like a complete fool, although that really isn’t that hard to do. Personally, I would have added an empty suit to the chair, just to really give the knife a good hard twist, but that’s just me.
