Liberal hypocrisy on guns

Or, “Guns for me but not for thee.” Good day all. I hope you had a pleasant Christmas and got lots of presents. Now that people are returning to the news, we are seeing the utter and complete hypocrisy of the Progressives, (Commonly known as Liberals or Democrats), with regards to the Right to Keep and Bear Arms ((Second Amendment to the United States Constitution)).

Since the horror of the shootings at the Sandy Hook school, we have seen the Progressives demand everything to magazine and firearms ban to outright confiscation. Governor Andrew Cuomo of New York has stated he will put forth legislation mandating confiscation and buybacks of firearms. Never mind that it is blatantly unconstitutional. (See 4^th and 5^th Amendments)

Then we have Mayor of New York Michael Bloomberg who thinks that only the police should be armed. He doesn’t even like the idea of the military having weapons ((After Sandy, Bloomberg refused National Guard’s help because they have guns)). Then we have Senator Diane Feinstein who wants to ram through gun bans and limits on the ammunition capacity of firearms. Then we have Rosy O’Donnell, a militant anti-gun progressive who has a personal guard who applied for a Concealed Carry Permit.

What do all these people have in common? They either have guns of their own or have armed security guards with them at all times. They believe that they are more important than the “little people” and that the laws they push on us do not apply to them.

The most recent example of this is NBC’s Meet the Press host David Gregory. As we have seen, the Obama Steno Pool is in lockstep with the Democrats on just about everything, including stripping the rights away from anyone who is not a member of their click. Well Gregory decided to make a point about stripping the 2^nd Amendment rights away from people by waving around a 30 round magazine on the air.

There was just one small problem. The show was broadcast from a studio in Washington D.C. Why is this a problem? Washington bans pretty much everything to do with guns, irregardless of the constitution and the Heller decision ((District of Columbia v. Heller)). Oops! The law, which I consider unconstitutional in the first place, states:

DC High Capacity Ammunition Magazines – D.C. Official Code 7-2506.01, and reads (my bold):

(b) No person in the District shall possess, sell, or transfer any large capacity ammunition feeding device regardless of whether the device is attached to a firearm. For the purposes of this subsection, the term large capacity ammunition feeding device means a magazine, belt, drum, feed strip, or similar device that has a capacity of, or that can be readily restored or converted to accept, more than 10 rounds of ammunition. The term large capacity ammunition feeding device shall not include an attached tubular device designed to accept, and capable of operating only with, .22 caliber rimfire ammunition. (H/T Breitbart)

So, Mr. Gregory, in true moonbat style, broke the law and now expects special treatment. The complaints about this Progressive hypocrite to the Washington Police were so numerous that the Chief, Cathy Lanier, confirmed that they are investigating this.

And it gets better. Progressives do not want any form of defense in schools. This means no armed guards, no armed teachers, no armed secretaries or anyone else who works in a school. They demand that all schools be Target Rich Environments No Gun Zones. Of course, as you might expect, that doesn’t apply to the schools they send their children to.

The most prestigious private school in the Washington D.C. Area is Sidwell Friends ((Sidwell Friends Schools)). They have an 11 man armed security detachment on site. This is in addition to the Secret Service guards that accompany the Obama children. (I don’t mind the children having guards. They are in a unique circumstance) Of course, when a president doesn’t have any children, the Secret Service isn’t there. (To be more specific, when those using SS protection don’t have children in Sidwell Friends) Progressive hypocrisy at it’s finest. In their minds, the protection of their children is important. Your children, not so much.

As more and more information comes out regarding that horrible crime in Sandy Hook, it’s becoming clear that the teachers who moved to confront the criminal, had they been armed, would have been able to stop him before to much damage had been done. If there had been an armed guard or police officer on site, he or she would have been able to stop the criminal as well.

No, the Progressives want the guns removed from the people for one simple reason. Power. They have shown over the decades that they don’t care about the Constitution, the rule of law and equal protections under the law. They literally consider themselves to be the ones who should be making all decisions for every person, right down to what you should eat. The term for this is Totalitarianism ((Totalitarianism)).

The Progressive know that most people are utterly opposed to what the Progressives want. (About 20-30% are brainless fools who really don’t want to think for themselves. We call them slaves) The people have watched for decades as their rights have been suppressed and the Progressive Elites get a pass whenever they screw up. We, the people, have had it with Progressives.

With the rise of Talk Radio, cable television and the Internet, the Progressives attempts at controlling the flow of information has broken down. However, since they do own the Obama Steno Pool as well as Hollywood, they think they can still just shove through whatever they want.

What they want now is to reinstate useless gun bans. The Progressives don’t care that crime is actually going down. They don’t care that a large majority believe in the right to keep and bear arms, and, more importantly, have seen just what having their rights taken away means. It means “One Stop Shopping” for criminals.

They can just walk into a place and rob, rape and murder knowing that the sheep have no way to stop them. The murder rate in Chicago is proof of this. The Progressives have run riot there and have rendered the people both helpless and stupid. The Progressives, of course, can have all the protection they need.

There is a petition online to have David Gregory investigated and charged if he broke the law. Also, it’s now coming out that NBC did ask for permission to use the magazine shown on the show for demonstration purposes. They were told they couldn’t since it would break the law. Gregory did it anyway.

To paraphrase Leona Helmsley ((Leona Helmsley, The Queen of Mean)), “We don’t obey laws we pass. Only the little people have to obey the laws…” ((Original Quote was “We don’t pay taxes. Only the little people pay taxes…”)) I say throw a few of these progressive hypocrites into a nice “Pound me in the a$$” prison and let them see how “The little people” have it when they run afoul of the progressives ideas of “Law and Order.”
