Once again, a corporation punishes an employee for having the nerve to fight back against criminals. In this case. We have Pizza Hut punishing a delivery person who fought back against five attackers in Glen Burnie, Maryland.
The victim, Sam Swicegood, has been demoted and had his hours cut. The reason? He violated the Pizza Hut no weapons policy and had the temerity to not allow himself to be beaten and/or killed. Here are some of the details in a story by Todd Starnes for Fox News:
Sam Swicegood was making a Pizza Hut delivery several weeks ago in Glen Burnie when he was attacked by five teenagers who tried to rob him. Last month a co-worker was robbed at gunpoint in the same area.
At least one of the robbers punched Swicegood in the face. But the driver was able to fight off his attackers by using a fiberglass tent pole.
“Five people against one is not a good situation to be in,” he told Fox News. “I thought I was going to die.”
Five scummy little goblins verses one collage student trying to make ends meet. Mr. Swicegood was lucky he was able to fight them off. That number of two legged vermin are notorious for inflicting harm on good people.
Police later found three of the attackers – a 13-year-old boy and two 14-year-olds. They were charged with robbery, second degree assault and reckless endangerment, according to the Capital Gazette.
And since they are creepagers in a state slightly north of Moonbat central, they will be given a slap on the wrist and sent on their way. However, that’s a comment for another day. This is about how yet another corporation has decided that they want to make life easier for criminals and far more dangerous for the people who work for them.
Instead of rewarding his quick thinking, Swicegood said he was punished by Pizza Hut. The college student said he was demoted to the restaurant’s kitchen staff. His hours and his pay were also slashed.
He said company officials told him he violated Pizza Hut’s no weapon policy – and apparently the fiberglass tent pole was considered a weapon.
“I’m not saying we should arm all delivery drivers, but I’m saying that punishing delivery drivers for defending themselves as they’re being attacked is unjust,” he told Fox News.
You want to know what I think? Of course you do or you wouldn’t be here, would you? I think that the CEO of Pizza Hut, Mr. David C. Novak, as well as anyone who has a hand in the “Let yourself be killed policy” should be criminally charged as accessories to the crime. (I’ll let the legal beagles work up the correct charges)
For way to long, the sheep mentality of a large number of corporations have gotten their employees attacked, robbed, beaten, raped and murdered. I know why they create these asinine policies. They are afraid that their employees might decided to fight back instead of complying and get hurt. Well, that idea of just sitting there and being sheeple went out the window on September 11th, 2001.
Today, thanks to a number of policies by Progressives and Liberals, criminals no longer get the punishments they so richly deserve. When it comes to teenagers such as the three that were arrested, it’s even worse. These little psychopaths have shown a vicious streak that rivals the Mongol hordes ((Mongol military tactics and organization)). Expecting these vicious little jerks, hopped up on testosterone and little adult supervision to be satisifed with taking some cash and a few pizzas would be like expecting Adolph Hitler to be satisfied with taking the Rhine. It ain’t happening.
I hope Mr. Swicegood gets a lawyer and sues the crap out of this company. I also hope that lawyer gets together with a good prosecutor who brings this to a grand jury and indicts the CEO. Maybe getting one of these morons convicted and sent to a nice prison might convince a few others that the times have changed.
Oh who am I kidding? This is Maryland, home of the Mid Atlantic genus of Moonbats.

This is really unjust. Rather than rewarding him. They punished him!? He is just protecting himself and the companies property. Are there any updated on the driver?
I haven’t heard anything. Normally, people like this get calls with job offers from other companies, but with the current economy, I don’t see this happening for this guy.
