Gun makers refusing to sell to governments

Good day all. Over the last few weeks, beginning with New York’s new law suppressing the civil rights of their law abiding citizens, gun manufacturers have started refusing to deal with states that will not abide by the Second Amendment.

God, Guns and Guts

This action goes back many years when the Barrett Firearms Company, in response to California banning the private ownership of .50 rifles, announced it would no longer sell or service any of it’s products belonging to the city, county, or state governments. With the current move by the Progressive Liberal Totalitarian Democrats to strip away the constitutional rights of millions of Americans, gun manufacturers have decided to fight back. Here are the most recent details from CNS News:

On February 22, “Right Views” reported that a growing number of firearm companies have suspended the sale of guns to states, counties, cities and municipalities that restrict their citizens’ rights to own them.

In just two weeks, the number of companies participating in what has been named the “Firearms Equality Movement,” has more than tripled from 34 companies to 118.

That is a large amount of manufacturers, and it does affect their bottom line. However, they are still selling to the civilian population, so it will all even out for them. According to the article, a web site called The Police Loophole is maintaining a list of companies that have started to refuse service to the gun banning governments. (I noticed that my favorite company, Red Jacket Firearms of Sons of Guns fame has joined the list. Good for you Will Hayden!!) The most recent company is Wilson Combat, a custom pistol manufacturer located in Berryville, Arkansas, joined the movement on February 28 stating the following:

“Wilson Combat will no longer provide any products or services to any State Government imposing legislation that infringes on the second amendment rights of its law abiding citizens. This includes any Law Enforcement Department, Law Enforcement Officers, or any State Government Entity or Employee of such an entity. This also applies to any local municipality imposing such infringements.”

At the moment, the large manufacturers such as Sigarms, Colt, Smith&Wesson, etc. have not joined the boycott. Armalite was noted for not joining this movement, however, there is a letter from the owner that says they have a long standing policy of not selling to government agencies, but will sell to individual officers.

Recently, Colorado’s Nazi Democrat party controlled legislature began their process of turning the state into a Gun Free Zone Target Rich Environment. They have also decided that it’s far better for women to be raped and murdered then to have any means of defending themselves. This has caused one the major manufacturers of AR-15 magazines, Magpul, to announce that if they do push this through, they will close their plants in Colorado and move to a state that believes in the Constitution of These United States. (Now for some due diligence. I recently acquired several Magpul magazines, but have not had the chance to try them. AW)

If Magpul does close down operations in Colorado and moves, it will have a major effect on the state’s economy. Right off the bat, all the Magpul employees will be let go, (Although I suspect a number will be asked to move to the new location), and this will hit the tax base and increase unemployment. The hit to the state’s employment won’t be limited to the Magpul people, all the businesses that either dealt with Magpul locally or were frequented by the employees will also take a hit and could go out of business.

Because of this, the Colorado Nazi Democrat Party has tried to prevent this by amending one of their unconstitutional bills to allow the manufacture of standard magazines as long as they are sold out of state. Magpul basically told them to take that, sit on it and rotate. From the Denver Post:

An amendment to one of four gun bills being debated by the Colorado legislature isn’t enough to keep a maker of firearms accessories in the state, top management told U.S. Rep. Cory Gardner during a tour Thursday.

Gardner, R-Yuma, and state Sen. Vicki Marble, R-Fort Collins, toured Magpul Industries Corp., watching as workers prepared and assembled ammunition magazines, firearms accessories and other products ranging from dog leashes to smartphone cases.

An amendment attached to that bill before it cleared the House in a floor vote this week would allow manufacturers of magazines that hold more than 15 rounds to make them in Colorado and sell them elsewhere.

This went over well with the Magpul management.

But Magpul officials told Gardner, Marble and state Rep. Lori Saine — a Dacono Republican who joined the others after they had completed the Magpul plant tour — that the amendment wouldn’t be enough to prompt the company to stay in this state if the bill becomes law.

Move a manufacturing network is not something that is done lightly. I’ve been involved with closing manufacturing plants and shipping their equipment out to other locations. Magpul will need to locate a place that’s suitable, both from a manufacturing perspective as well as from a tax and political perspective. Magpul has stated that are now in talks with other states about this. If Magpul pulls the plug, it will disrupt their operations for at least 4-8 months. As far as the Progressive Liberal Totalitarian Democrats are concerned, big whoop.

Gun-Control

We are now starting to see a full blown split in this country. States that are controlled by the Nazi Democrat Party are going full bore into the suppression of the Second Amendment. States that support the Second Amendment are passing laws that either protect law enforcement officers at the local, county or state level if they refuse to carry out these federal laws, or order them to not carry them out in the first place. (Generally it’s more the former then the latter) They are also passing laws that will protect manufacturers such as Magpul from actions from the Federal Government that are in opposition to the Constitution in general and the Second Amendment in particular.

As of now, none of these have been acted on by the Obama Tyranny, but it may be only a matter of time before Federal Agents move against a person(s) or company, and state law enforcement officers block the federal agents. The worst case scenario is a full blown shootout between state and federal officers. At that point, things can’t be predicted. Best case scenario, the States begin to take action, probably along the lines of a Constitutional Convention with the aim of stripping power away from Washington. Worst case scenario? States start seceding from the Union. From what I’m seeing, the Nazi’s Progressive Liberal Democrats are actually trying to force the issue so they can move against the states and the people that are rejecting their “Benevolent instructions.” Paranoia on my part? God I hope so! Unlike so many these days, (Almost exclusively on the left), I like to read the History of the United States. I think we are now at the same point, (For far different reasons), as we were in the 1850’s.
