Obamacare unfair to Democrats

As the day comes closer that Obamacare fully kick in and utterly destroys the American healthcare system, Ocare’s earliest boosters are now realizing that it isn’t that great after all.

One of the problems now manifesting itself is all the congressional aides and staffers are going to lose their gold plated taxpayer funded health insurance. Now the Democratic members of Congress want to opt out of Obamacare. Here are some of the juicy details from Forbes:

When the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (“Obamacare”) was being debated, proponents were accused of saddling Americans with inferior and expensive health care while keeping generous coverage for themselves at taxpayer expense.

That was the original plan after all. Nothing is to good for the masters, and as for the serfs? You’ll take what we, in our benevolence, give you and like it…or else.

To rebut that allegation and build confidence in the bill, a provision was added mandating that members of Congress – and their staff members – get their coverage through the new exchange system the bill set up. Now that the time to sign up for exchange coverage is nearing, a Democratic member, Rep. John Larson (D., Conn.), is saying that “this is simply not fair” – as key staff members head for the exits to avoid Obamacare.

Heheheheh. Now they are seeing the fruits of their labors. In this case, their labor is heading for the door since they know just how crappy the system they’re ramming down America’s throat really is.

Politico reports that “many on Capitol Hill fear it could lead to a brain drain” and notes that “[t]he problem is far more acute in the House, where lawmakers and aides are generally younger and less wealthy.”

What? Obamacare disproportionally hurts those with lower incomes? It may come as a surprise, but it shouldn’t. We’ve known this since before the legislation even passed.

Now why couldn’t I have said that? Damn, the writer, Robert Book, must be as cynical as I am. On second thought, no one is as cynical as I am. Larson, in opposition to the will of the majority of Americans, voted for this load of horse dung. Now that it’s directly affecting them, they want out of it. The Republicans, who have fought Obamacare since day one are having none of it. They are losing staff as well, but they won’t let congress exempt itself from Obamacare.

Basically, it’s come down to this.

Democrats: Whine Whine Complain, Bitch, Moan, Whine, It isn’t fair! Whine.

Republicans: HeeHeeHeeHeeHeeHee
