Al Qaeda’s back apparently

Since Friday, August 2, 2013, various news agencies have been ramping up the volume on a probable terrorist attack against one or more of our embassies. Because of this, some 22 embassies and consulates, mostly in the Middle East, have been closed.

Now according to reports, the “Chatter” is at levels even greater then that prior to the 9/11 attack back in 2001. According to Fox News:

The so-called “chatter” about a terror plot that led the Obama administration to close 22 U.S. embassies and consulates Sunday across the Muslim world goes beyond anything heard before the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, according to the top Republican on the Senate Intelligence Committee and Fox News sources.

Sen. Saxby Chambliss, of Georgia, said Sunday the so-called “chatter” detected by U.S. intelligence agencies that led the Obama administration to order the closures and issue a global travel warning to Americans is “very reminiscent of what we saw pre-9/11.”

Now a few things come to mind, most of these thoughts, admittedly conspiratorial and snarky. Still, they need to be said. First, how could Al Qaeda and it’s affiliates be planning all this? I thought the War on Terror was over. At least, according to Obama and the Democrats it is. So why are we worrying now? Could it be that Obama was, heaven forbid, lying through his teeth yet again?

Or, could it be that this is just more smoke and mirrors by the Washington Elite to allow the NSA and other federal agencies more power to spy on Americans rather then actually going after those who do mean us harm? Considering the recent past, I wouldn’t put it past Obama and his stooges to cook something up to make him look good.

Perhaps, and I hope this is the case, the NSA has finally remembered that its duty is to spy on and collect data from actual enemies of the United States, instead of trolling through American Citizens and Legal Resident Aliens web surfing habits and telephone data. Now, according to the ABC Blog of George Snuffleopolis Stephanopoulos:

On the day that almost two dozen U.S. embassies and consulates across North Africa and the Middle East are closed following the identification of a significant threat from an al-Qaeda affiliate, a senior U.S. official is providing new details about the communications intercepted from the terrorists, telling ABC News that al-Qaeda operatives could be heard talking about an upcoming attack. The official described the terrorists as saying the planned attack is “going to be big” and “strategically significant.”

“The part that is alarming is the confidence they showed while communicating and the air of certainty,” the official said, adding that the group — Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula — appeared to have a media plan for after the attack.

Probably going to have Jay Carney make an announcement reporting on a man caused disaster and that it was all the Tea Party’s fault.

Today on “This Week,” Rep. Dutch Ruppersberger, D-MD — the ranking member of the House Intelligence Committee — said the intercepted communications called for a “major attack.”

“We received information that high level people from al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula are talking about a major attack,” Ruppersberger said. “And these are people at a high level.”

“It’s a very credible threat and it’s based on intelligence,” Ruppersberger continued. “What we have to do now is the most important issue, is protect Americans throughout the world.”

Ruppersberger also commented on the threat’s al-Qaeda connection, saying “We know that al-Qaeda and other people out there want to attack us and kill us and our allies.”

Not according to Der Fubar. After all, he helped with the Arab Spring, got rid of Hosni Mubarek and Muammar Qaddafi and is poised to ensure freedom and happiness in Syria. Oh wait, those have been utter and complete failures on the part of King Putt, haven’t they?

Now, as of this posting, information is lacking. Apparently they don’t know where the attack, if there is actually going to be one, is going to take place. This is the reason they have closed all the embassies. Obama and his car full of foreign policy clowns can’t afford another Benghazi. There is also a possibility that if an attack happens, it won’t be in the Middle East or Northern Africa, but could happen here. If such an attack did take place, and caused hundreds or even thousands of casualties, that would be all she wrote for Obama and the Democrats. They’ve spent the last 8 years denigrating Bush and his actions following 9/11 and in many cases, actively working to undermine the war effort. (This used to be called Treason)

Now, if nothing happens other then a few RIF’s getting one with Hellfire missiles, look for Obama and the Democrats crowing to high heaven about how “THEY” stopped the attack. Now you see why a suspicious mind, (Like mine), is taking all this with a large grain of salt. Obama and the Progressive Liberals have worked for years to insure another attack on the United States by Islamic terrorists. They have denied actual attacks were terrorism, all to avoid having to make hard decisions. With the anniversary of 9/11 and Benghazi approaching, I do expect them to try something. Hopefully our forces can quickly and efficiently turn these vermin into worm food. However, knowing how The SCoaMF operates, I expect our troops will have to go into battle with Nerf Guns and umbrellas.
