To err is human…

To pull this stunt requires a level of stupidity that is whole orders of magnitude above normal stupidity. Just how stupid is this level of stupidity? Well, who with any functioning brain cells go into a church and steal their computer to surf porn at home?

Yes, this is what happened in Owassa, Oklahoma. One utter waste of DNA and Oxygen robbed a church and then called the security company that monitored the system to shut off the porn filters. Here are the details from KRMG.com:

Troy Ridling confesses to stealing a computer from a church back in July.

Police say an employee at the Owasso First Assembly of God called officers about the stolen computer. He tipped off officers it had to be somebody familiar with the church because there were no signs of a break in and nothing else was touched. It turned out he was right. Ridling used to attend services.

Wonderful. Nothing like a loyal church goer. He probably stole from the collection plate as well. It still took a couple of weeks for a break in the case though. Here’s how it happened.

Still, OPD didn’t get a break into the case until the church employee was contacted by a tracking software company. Covenant Eyes told the employee somebody had been trying to look up pornography on the computer.

Now a lot of places put some sort of filtering software on a computer to keep people from “Inadvertently” going to web sites they shouldn’t. For a church, a porn site is a BIG NO NO. So what did this disgrace to his ancestors, going all the way back to that single cell organism in the primordial ooze  do when he ran into the filtering software? Did he try to uninstall it? Did he download a Linux distribution and install that instead? Nope! Here’s what Megamind did instead.

Police say Ridling even contacted Covenant Eyes to try and get them to take down the monitoring software on the computer. He was denied and the call allowed officers to track him down.

Of course, when confronted with his utter lack of a functioning brain, Ridling confessed his guilt and begged his church for forgiveness, right? Umm no.

Once in custody, Ridling tried to deny stealing the computer despite officers finding the device at his home.

Gee Whiz Officer, it must have sneaked into my house. You know all about those cyborgs that Cyberdyne Systems makes. It’s a conspiracy! It wasn’t my fault!

Eventually, the local police were able to beat a confession out of this idiot, although I understand that at least five night sticks were broken on this clod’s head. Rumor has it, that he didn’t even notice it. Ridling is now in a new home and is still not able to get the online porn he wanted.

Ridling is currently in the Tulsa County Jail.

This dunderhead would be a perfect Democrat candidate for Congress. They like really stupid people and he already has experience in stealing. Heck, he sounds like the typical Obama voter to me.
