Democrats hurl IRS at Tea Party groups

In the “Lessons not Learned” department, Democrats, facing a political massacre in November, are demanding that the Internal Revenue Service crack down on all the conservative, Constitutionalist and Tea Party political groups.

Not content with the IRS formulating rules to suppress the political speech of these groups, and doing all they can to whitewash the activities by the IRS in the 2012 elections, now they are outright demanding that the IRS destroy these groups. According to The Hill:

Senate Democrats facing tough elections this year want the Internal Revenue Service to play a more aggressive role in regulating outside groups expected to spend millions of dollars on their races. In the wake of the IRS targeting scandal, the Democrats are publicly prodding the agency instead of lobbying them directly. They are also careful to say the IRS should treat conservative and liberal groups equally, but they’re concerned about an impending tidal wave of attack ads funded by GOP-allied organizations. Much of the funding for those groups is secret, in contrast to the donations lawmakers collect, which must be reported publicly.

Typical of that pack of corrupt scum. In their minds, they can do no wrong, but if anyone disagrees with them, they are to be crushed. So who are the targets of their attacks?

One of the most powerful groups is Americans for Prosperity, funded by the billionaire industrialists Charles and David Koch. It has already spent close to $30 million on ads attacking Democrats this election cycle.

It is amazing just how terrified the Progressive Liberal Democrats are of a pair of well off conservative/Libertarian businessmen. Of course, they have no problem at all with people like George Soros and his ilk.

“If they’re claiming the tax relief, the tax benefit to be a nonprofit for social relief or social justice, then that’s what they should be doing,” said Sen. Mark Begich (D), who faces a competitive race in Alaska. “If it’s to give them cover so they can do political activity, that’s abusing the tax code. And either side.”

Social Justice? That is one of the mantra’s of the hard left. Basically, it’s another name for Marxism and Communism. I’m not surprised Begich is all in favor of anything that will suppress his opposition. I understand there are a few hungry polar bears that would like to have him over for dinner. However, he might not be around for dessert. And then we have my worthless senator.

Asked if the IRS should play a more active role policing political advocacy by groups that claim to be focused on social welfare, Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (D-N.H.) responded, “Absolutely.” “Both on the left and the right,” she said. “As taxpayers, we should not be providing a write-off to groups to do political activity, and that’s exactly what we’re doing.”

She called the glut of political spending by self-described social welfare groups that qualify under section 501(c)(4) of the tax code “outrageous.” Shaheen is in a good position now but could find herself embroiled in a tight campaign if former Sen. Scott Brown (R-Mass.) challenges her.

Actually, she isn’t in that good a position. All she needs is a decent opponent and she is gone. The problem with Scott Brown is he is a loser from Massachusetts and is seen and another RINO carpetbagger. Shaheen was a disaster as governor and she has been worthless as a senator.

Last month, Americans for Prosperity-New Hampshire launched a television ad criticizing Shaheen for her 2009 and 2010 votes for the Affordable Care Act. It highlighted the plight of New Hampshire residents who have to travel hours to find healthcare in hospitals covered by the state’s insurance exchange.

Obamacare has been a disaster up here in the Frozen North. Shaheen has been lying about it from day one. I’ve been lucky in that I was grandfathered into my current plan, but I did get a letter from my my doctor saying that anyone using Obamacare can forget about getting into the local hospital they have privileges to. Now one of the other groups the Progressive Liberal Democrats want to destroy is Karl Rove’s Crossroads GPS.

In the last election cycle, Crossroads GPS, a group founded by GOP super-strategist Karl Rove, spent the most political money of any social-welfare group, according to the Center for Responsive Politics, which estimated the total at $71 million. The group has remained relatively quiet this cycle.

Gee, I wonder why Rove’s PAC has been so quiet? Could it be the complete failure to get anyone elected in 2012, and blowing something like a gazillion dollars? Might it also be that no one with any brains is giving that bald headed loser one more dime ((Karl Rove Groups’ Attacks on Tea Party Backfire))? It seems that donations to the Karl Rove Fund for Stupidity has dropped some 98%. His constant assaults on conservative candidates and his support of the “Go along Establishment Country Club Republicans, (Also known as RINO’s), might be a factor. Now the IRS has announced that they plan to codify their unconstitutional suppression of Conservative Groups into regulatory law.

Under new proposed regulations by the Treasury Department, the IRS would define voter registration, distributing voter guides and running ads that mention candidates as political activities. It also proposed setting a bright-line limit for what percentage of groups’ activity would be allowed to fall into the category of candidate-related political activity.

If enacted, the regulations would, in effect, limit how much outside groups, such as Americans for Prosperity or League of Conservation Voters, could spend as a percentage of their budgets on the Senate races.

In other words, outright suppression of political speech. Since the IRS scandal regarding the delaying the Tea Party groups their tax exempt statuses, people have been looking into what effect this may have had on the 2012 election. A number of people, not all of them on the right, are saying if the IRS had not suppressed these groups, we would now be saying “Good morning president Romney.” Then we have that scumbag Senator Charles “Schmucky” Schumer.

Sen. Charles Schumer (N.Y.), the Senate Democrats’ chief political strategist, called for the IRS to curb political spending by outside groups during a major speech on how to blunt the impact of conservative donors such as the Koch brothers.

“The Tea Party elites gained extraordinary influence by being able to funnel millions of dollars into campaigns with ads that distort the truth and attack government,” he said in remarks at the Center for American Progress Action Fund. “There are many things that can be done administratively by the IRS and other government agencies — we must redouble those efforts immediately,” he added.

What Schumer is calling for is the outright suppression of conservative individuals and groups. He is also suffering from the Progressive Liberal Moonbat delusion that the Koch brothers are running the Tea party. The Koch’s do give some financial support to the Tea Party movement, but they came late to the game. The Tea Party was well underway when they started looking into supporting it. They no more control the Tea Party and other groups then Senator Schmucky Schumer.

To use the Internal Revenue Service for partisan political reasons is terrifying. Doing this, or trying to, was one of the reasons Nixon was looking at impeachment. For the IRS to go after people for their political beliefs, be they on the right or the left, (Although they rarely go after the Moonbat groups), could lead to a very negative reaction.

That reaction? Violence. If someone is being assaulted by the IRS for clearly political reasons, and they have no way of stopping it? They might decide, along with others, to literally attack and destroy an IRS office. Do we really want to see what happens to someone when they are tarred and feathered ((Tarring and Feathering))? The morons in Washington in general and in the Progressive Liberal Democrat Party in particular, have forgotten what caused the American Revolution. Perhaps they should crack open a history book and try reading the Declaration of Independence ((United States Declaration of Independence)). Here are a few sections that are becoming relevant again:

He has obstructed the Administration of Justice by refusing his Assent to Laws for establishing Judiciary Powers.

He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harass our people and eat out their substance.

He has combined with others to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our constitution, and unacknowledged by our laws; giving his Assent to their Acts of pretended Legislation:

For imposing Taxes on us without our Consent:

For depriving us in many cases, of the benefit of Trial by Jury:

In every stage of these Oppressions We have Petitioned for Redress in the most humble terms: Our repeated Petitions have been answered only by repeated injury. A Prince, whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people.

The Progressive Liberal Democrats fit the bill to a tee of the British Parliament and Obama as King George the Third. We are already seeing acts of rebellion against some of the laws passed by the Progressive Liberal Elites, primarily in the suppression of the Second Amendment. Connecticut passed a mandatory gun registration law last year and it has been utterly ignored, much to the shock of the State Politicians who rammed it through ((Untold Thousands Flout Gun Registration Law)). The same thing is happening in New York and Colorado, two other states that essentially made criminals of tens of thousands of people by legislative fiat.

constitution, Void where prohibited by Obama

What is worrying is what the next step will be by the Progressive Liberal Democrats when the serfs refuse to obey their commands. Using the Internal Revenue Service, who’s only purpose is the collection of taxes, as a secret police force is a recipe for disaster. If they proceed along the same path that George III and his parliament did in the 18th century, well, it might not happen in Lexington and Concord Massachusetts, but the stage is set for “Bad Things” to happen. It’s time for these morons to remember who they work for.
