Good riddance to Piers Morgan

Good day all. I’m still on travel so this will be quick. CNN has decided that Piers Morgan, better known as Jeremy Clarkson’s punching bag, is being offered a chance to return to his homeland. His show is being canceled.

Piers is a British Subject who has been on a rant about the Second Amendment of the American Constitution. He hates it and thinks it should just be ignored. For the last year or so, since Sandy Hook, he has been attacking anyone who believed the Second Amendment means what it says. (He also has issues with the rest of the Constitution as well) Because of this and other things, his viewing audience dropped to about 9 people and that included the crew on his show. So CNN, which would like to make a little money, gave Morgan his walking papers. Here are the details from the New York Times:

There have been times when the CNN host Piers Morgan didn’t seem to like America very much — and American audiences have been more than willing to return the favor.

I will state for the record that I never watched that moron. To continue:

It’s been an unhappy collision between a British television personality who refuses to assimilate — the only football he cares about is round and his lectures on guns were rife with contempt — and a CNN audience that is intrinsically provincial. After all, the people who tune into a cable news network are, by their nature, deeply interested in America.

From what I’ve read, Morgan is a typical upper crust limey bastard. 200 years ago, he would have worn a red coat and we would have shot him with the very guns he hates so much.

“Look, I am a British guy debating American cultural issues, including guns, which has been very polarizing, and there is no doubt that there are many in the audience who are tired of me banging on about it,” he said. “That’s run its course and Jeff and I have been talking for some time about different ways of using me.”

Morgan seems to have a tendency to rub many people the wrong way, and occasionally, they take forceful exception to his jerkdom ((Jeremy Clarkson)). In fact, the aforementioned Jeremy Clarkson, a presenter on the BBC series Top Gear, had this to say:

Given his longstanding feud with Piers Morgan, it’s no surprise that Jeremy Clarkson has something to say about the former Mirror editor’s show being axed by CNN. However, the Top Gear host’s first tweet on Monday morning was unusually restrained: “I’m feeling strangely contented this morning. I wonder if something wonderful has happened somewhere.” It didn’t take him long to get into full flow, though – an hour later he tweeted: “I understand that Nigerian TV is looking for a new chat show host. Anyone got any suggestions?” This was quickly followed by “Hmm. Morgan has told us for years that his ratings are sky high. So obv he wasn’t sacked for that reason. Why else could it be, I wonder?” No doubt due to the time difference in Los Angeles, Morgan had failed to respond at time of writing – Monkey looks forward to hearing his take on the matter.

Mr. Clarkson was obviously using that famous British understatement and subtlety that hs is so well-known for.

The death knell for Morgan’s propaganda program occurred when Fox put Megyn Kelly on opposite of him. It was like night and day. On CNN we had a left-wing hard-core member of the Progressive Liberal Elite, and worse, a British member verses a young, attractive, highly intelligent woman who understands the issues and what is going on in America. After that, it was just a matter of time before CNN decided to stick the fork in and see if Piers was done. As of now, he is and is going to be served up to the British legal system ((Piers Morgan interviewed by Scotland Yard in British phone hacking scandal)). All I can say to Mr. Morgan is “Bon Voyage!” Don’t let the door hit you on the way out!
