Bad week to be a Democrat

Good day all. This ties in to my post yesterday regarding Leland “Lord of War” Yee’s arrest on corruption and gun running charges. Two Gun Yee wasn’t the only Progressive Liberal Democrat to have the cuffs snapped on his wrists or otherwise end up in deep kimchee. There have been, to no surprise to me, others.

Last Friday, the Speaker of the Rhode Island house of representatives, Gordon Fox, had his office raided by the FBI¹. The reason for the raid has not been released as yet. Fox has resigned as Speaker of the house. I guess he has other things on his mind, like seeing what goes with a prison issued orange jumpsuit.

Another state legislator who was paid a visit by the FBI with their moving van was New York Assemblyman William Scarborough. The FBI took documents and other items from his Albany, NY office and his office in Jamaica, Queens office. According to the Daily Caller, Scarborough was asked questions regarding the per diem reimbursements that legislators collect for each day they spend in the Capitol. Scarborough is maintaining his innocence and is looking for a lawyer before saying anything. Then we have the Mayor of Charlotte, North Carolina, one Patrick Cannon. Or should I say, the FORMER mayor of Charlotte, North Carolina? He has resigned from office since he was arrested on public corruption charges. Cannon apparently worked fast to start the bribe collecting. He’s only been in office for 114 days when they fitted him with flex-cuffs². He has also resigned from office.

Then we have the City of Brotherly Corruption Love, Philadelphia. A three years sting operation started under Tom Corbett (Republican), that showed a number of Democrats were happy to take bribes, was shut down by his successor, Kathleen G. Kane (Democrat). According to philly.com, the original investigation went after both Republicans and Democrats. However,

Sources with knowledge of the sting said the investigation made financial pitches to both Republicans and Democrats, but only Democrats accepted the payments.

Attorney General Kane promptly shut down the investigation when it showed that it was the Democrats that were the ones taking the bribes, and not the Republicans.

In a statement to The Inquirer on Friday, Kane called the investigation poorly conceived, badly managed, and tainted by racism, saying it had targeted African Americans.

This, of course, is utter balderdash.

Those who favored the sting believe Kane killed a solid investigation, led by experienced prosecutor Frank G. Fina, that had ensnared several public officials and had the potential to capture more. They said they were outraged at Kane’s allegation that race had played a role in the case.

Before Kane ended the investigation, sources familiar with the inquiry said, prosecutors amassed 400 hours of audio and videotape that documented at least four city Democrats taking payments in cash or money orders, and in one case a $2,000 Tiffany bracelet.

I have little doubt that the real reason Kane killed this investigation was politics. She is protecting the Democrats. If it had been a bunch or Republicans, you know she would have gone full bore and been yelling at the top of her lungs at how crooked the Republicans were. I have a sneaking suspicion that if she is replaced by another Republican, he or she will take a long look at how she ran her office. I wonder how she looks in handcuffs?

And then we have Dingy Harry Reid, the Senate Majority leader. Apparently he slipped his granddaughter some $31,000.00 in payments from his campaign accounts³. Reid claimed it was an error, (Yeah, SURE it was!), and has repaid his campaign. He claimed it was an honest mistake. (The mistake was in getting caught) Now he is claiming his granddaughter has been getting harassed over this. Personally, I think people bothering Ms. Reid should flat out stop. Of course, Harry Reid, who is a proven liar, is fair game. The Federal Elections Commission has an investigation open, not that they will do much with it.

What we are seeing here is just how utterly corrupt the Democrats are, and have been for a very long time. This isn’t to say the Republicans are angels in these matters, they aren’t. However, as the Pennsylvania investigation showed, when offered bribes, they turned them down. Funny thing. The same thing happened during the ABSCAM investigation back in the 70’s. Although both Democrats and Republicans were approached, only the Democrats took the bribes, and not all of them either.

It’s almost a standing headline when yet another Democrat politician gets his or her office raided or is hauled off in handcuffs. In some states, such as Louisiana and Illinois, it almost seems that the average Democrat will be retired from office to a federal penitentiary.

So you know what we need right now? We need a full blown RICO⁴ investigation of the Democratic Party. The level of corruption rivals that of organized crime. Their belief that the laws they pass only apply to “The little people and Republicans” and not to the ruling “Progressive Liberal Elites” surpasses that of the old Italian Mafia. At least the Mafia had rules for it’s members and dealt with those who broke them. The Democrats only rule is money and power. It’s far past time to drive a stake through the party’s heart and break up this continuing criminal enterprise⁵ once and for all. Maybe we can get Judge Dredd to handle the investigation…trial…sentencing, etc.
