Some Ebola with your fries?

Good day all, I think it’s time to spread some panic and terror, so how about that Ebola virus? If you’ve been to busy following the invasion along our southern border, Israel pounding Hamas and by extension the Gaza Strip into rubble, as well as the bucket load of scandals being investigated by Congress, it’s understandable if you missed the Ebola epidemic now happening in Africa.

Now a little science stuff from Wikipedia. (You may stop rolling your eyes now)

Ebola virus disease (EVD) or Ebola hemorrhagic fever (EHF) is the human disease caused by the ebola virus. Symptoms typically start two days to three weeks after contracting the virus, with a fever, throat and muscle pains, and headaches. There is then typically nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea, along with decreased functioning of the liver and kidneys. At this point, some people begin to have problems with bleeding.

The disease is usually acquired when a person comes into contact with the blood or bodily fluids of an infected animal such as a monkey or fruit bat. Fruit bats are believed to carry and spread the virus without being affected by it. Once infection of a human occurs, the disease may be spread from one person to another. Men who survive may be able to transmit the disease sexually for nearly two months. To make the diagnosis, typically other diseases with similar symptoms such as malaria, cholera and other viral hemorrhagic fever are first excluded. The blood may then be tested for antibodies to the virus, or the viral RNA, or the virus itself, to confirm the diagnosis.

So basically, if you catch this thing, you die in a really horrible manner. So, what does this have to do with us you are asking? Well, thanks to modern travel, not to mention the mess on the border, we’ve had one or two near misses with this thing getting into the United States. There are two Americans working in Africa trying to stem this virus, but they caught it instead.

One was Patrick Sawyer who has been working in Liberia. He was scheduled to return home when he contracted the virus. He had boarded the aircraft and was in transit when he developed symptoms. Sadly, he has since passed away from the disease. Here are some of the details of what happened from the Telegraph:

An Ebola victim who was allowed to board an international flight was an American citizen on his way home to the United States, it has emerged. Patrick Sawyer worked for the Liberian government and was visiting his sister there when he developed symptoms while on a plane to Nigeria. He was quarantined on arrival in Lagos and died on Friday. His wife, Decontee, 34, who like Mr Sawyer is originally from Liberia, currently at the heart of the terrifying Ebola outbreak, said he had been due to travel on to America where he could have become Patient Zero in a US epidemic.

First, my condolences to Mrs. Sawyer and her family. Now, here’s where we can start to panic. If Mr. Sawyer had made it back to the States before showing symptoms, he could have accidentally infected his entire family. Then his children could have infected all their playmates. You can see where this is going of course. Now the Sawyers would not have tried to hide their illness and would have sought medical attention. There would be a fair to good chance of stopping any sort of epidemic before it really got started. This brings us to the trouble on the Mexican border.

As I and others have reported, the criminals crossing into the United States are, for all intents and purposes, two legged walking pestilence factories. We’re seeing Swine Flu, Dengue Fever, drug resistant Tuberculosis and all sorts of other diseases coming in. We’re also starting to see criminal aliens from other continents crossing the borders down there including Africa.

Not all of these criminals are turning themselves over to the Border Patrol. Many are avoiding them and heading deeper into the United States. If they are sick, they aren’t going to seek medical care since they might be locked up and deported. (Fat chance of that thanks to the scum in Washington) Since these people will probably be hired by crooked business owners, and may have close contact with the general public, the odds of a major epidemic, if not an outright pandemic happening are very good.

Now Obama is making noises about summarily legalizing millions of these criminals in total voilation of the law and the Constitution. He and the rest of the PLFD’s aren’t even thinking about what these disease ridden criminals could do to the nation, and as long as it doesn’t affect them, they really don’t care. Well that’s the funny thing about epidemics. They don’t give a rats testicles about your “Political” and “Social” status. You’ll bleed out just like those Africans are doing who are suffering from Ebola. Frankly, those Africans don’t deserve what’s happening to them, but the PLFD’s and their RINO buddies do.
