Justice Ginsburg plans on dying on the bench

Good day all. Here’s something a little different for a change. Recently, there have been calls for Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg to step down and retire. Ginsburg has stated that she’s planning on staying put.

Now, why the calls for the old (Moon) Bat to retire? I’m thinking that the PLFD’s are getting a little nervous regarding the 2016 presidential election, and are concerned that the next president might just be a republican and might actually appoint justices who, horror of horrors, support the Constitution of the United states! By the time the next President takes office, Ginsburg will be 83 years old. (And showing every year of it too)

That is the only reason they want Ginsburg to sail off into senility the sunset. They want Obama to be able to appoint another justice who despises the constitution ((Justice Ginsburg causes storm dissing the Constitution while abroad)) as much as he does, and who will be on the bench wrecking havoc for decades to come. Of course, this doesn’t take into account the ego of a supreme court justice. Here are a few details from The Hill:

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has not changed her tune on retirement in the past year, saying Wednesday she plans to stay for “a while.”

“My answer is, I will do this job as long as I can do it full steam,” she told Yahoo News. “When I feel myself slipping. When I can no longer think as sharply, write as quickly, that will be the time for me to leave the court.”

double-facepalm

I gather Ginsburg feels that as long as she can have a nice nap-time ((Ginsburg Asleep at the Bench)) during arguments, she is just fine.

Some liberals have urged her to retire so President Obama could nominate a successor while Democrats control the Senate.

Barking Moonbat

So the moonbats are pushing a weak member out of the herd are they? Gee, what a surprise, NOT! Of course, since it isn’t politically correct to push an elderly moonbat under the bus, they are sort of stuck. It doesn’t help when you have the target of their interest telling them she isn’t going.

When asked if the politics of naming a successor should factor into her decision, she said, “All I can say, I am still here and likely to remain for a while.” She said she models her tenure after former Justice Louis Brandeis, who was appointed at 60 and stayed until he was 83.

“I expect to stay at least that long,” Ginsburg, 81, said. She would be 83 in March 2016.

suck it up Buttercup

Now if that isn’t a “Take your retirement and shove it where the sun don’t shine” response, I don’t know what is. As for the moonbats, why do I have this image running through my head?

Yep, that’s just how moonbats prefer to do things. Of course, if Ginsburg were to suffer a sudden smothering accident with a pillow, Obama would still need to get someone through the senate confirmation process. Then there is the very likely filibuster by the Republicans. At least there will be a filibuster until Dingy Harry Reid kills it for Supreme Court nominees the way he did for everything else ((Dirty Harry’s hypocritical killing of the filibuster helped stack federal courts with liberal partisans)). Still, it would just keep things at a 4-4 tie with Kennedy ((Anthony McLeod Kennedy)) as the swing vote.

Frankly Ginsburg should have gone some time ago. Pointedly, I think she should have been removed for cause when she badmouthed the Constitution that she is sworn to uphold. I’m srot of hoping the old bag does hold on until 2016 so that the next President, hopefully a Constitutionalist Republican or Independent, can put someone on the bench who has actually read the thing.
