Obamacare rates available AFTER the election

Good day all. What with all the Ebola news, this little gem regarding the new Obamacare insurance rates for 2015 has slipped under the radar. Of course, this is just what Der Fubar wants of course.

As we all know, Obama claimed that the insurance rates under his plan would save people $2500 a year. This was an outright lie of course, as anyone who paid attention knew. Well, the second enrollment period is about to begin, but if you want to know how much more you will be forced to pay for substandard health insurance, well, you’re going to have to wait until after the midterm elections. Here are the details from the Washington Times:

Those planning to purchase health insurance on the Obamacare exchange will soon find out how much rates have increased — after the Nov. 4 election. Enrollment on the Healthcare.gov website begins Nov. 15, or 11 days after the midterm vote, and critics who worry about rising premium hikes in 2015 say that’s no coincidence. Last year’s inaugural enrollment period on the health-care exchange began Oct. 1.

This is more than just a glitch,” said Tim Phillips, president of free-market Americans for Prosperity, in a Friday statement. “The administration’s decision to withhold the costs of this law until after Election Day is just more proof that Obamacare is a bad deal for Americans.”

And this is a surprise why? It doesn’t take a genius to know that people are going to get slammed hard when they try to enroll in Obamacare. Oh, these new enrollees? These are people who are even now being kicked off their current plans that they liked. They are already extremely unhappy over this and are likely to take it out on the Democrats. When people find out that their rates for lousy coverage are going to skyrocket….well, the potential demolition of the Democrats in Washington would probably become a certainty. Still, information is leaking out.

Even so, details about cost increases are trickling out in states with pivotal Senate contests: Alaska, Iowa and Louisiana. All three states are wrestling with double-digit premium hikes from some state insurance companies on the exchange, which has fueled another round of Republican attacks on the Affordable Care Act.

Double digit increases? My insurance went up by about that much and I don’t get it through an exchange. In fact, since they shoved Obamacare down our throats, my insurance has doubled in cost.

The most dramatic increases are underway in Alaska, where the state insurance division has cleared double-digit rate hikes for two insurers, Premera Blue Cross and Moda Health. Premera’s premiums will rise by 35 to 40 percent, although 88 percent of Alaskans on the exchange won’t feel the full effects because they qualify for federal subsidies, according to the Alaska Dispatch News.

I understand that those subsidies are actually taxable income. In theory, someone who gets a subsidy could find themselves pushed above the income ceiling and then they lose the subsidy and get a big tax hit to boot. Isn’t Progressive Liberalism wonderful?

Alaska Republican Dan Sullivan, who’s challenging Democratic Sen. Mark Begich, blasted the rate increases on his Facebook page.

Did you lose your coverage due to ObamaCare? Are your premiums set to skyrocket? Follow the link to share your ObamaCare story and stand up to the elected leaders in D.C. who sold Alaskans out,” said Mr. Sullivan in the Sept. 12 post.

Thrown under the bus

Mr. Sullivan should be a bit more specific in his charge. It was the Progressive Liberal Fascist Democrats who sold out Alaskans, (And everyone else for that matter). Obamacare passed without a single Republican vote. This fiasco is wholly owned by the Democrat Party and they are welcome to run on it. Oh wait. they’re actually running away from it aren’t they? Now, the Democrats are trying to deny that people still care about getting rid of Obamacare.

Some analysts say that the Obamacare issue is losing steam, but that may come as news to Republicans. Dozens of GOP candidates released statements decrying Obamacare on Oct. 1, the one-year anniversary of the rollout. Mr. Cassidy released a video Sept. 29 featuring three Louisiana voters who say they previously backed Ms. Landrieu but now they’re supporting him as a result of her vote for the Affordable Care Act.

“Sen. Landrieu, I voted for you before, but when you voted for Obamacare, I knew I’d made a mistake,” says a woman named Rose in the video.

We all make mistakes Rose, it’s learning from them and correcting the mistake that’s important. Hopefully, the voters of Louisiana will correct the mistake in electing this scumbag Democrat. Obamacare is already collapsing under it’s contradictions and constitutionality. There are reports that the costs associated with it are skyrocketing, (To no one’s surprise, other than the Moonbats that is), and if not closed down, will eventually collapse not just itself, but the United States of America as well. Remember in November!
