Good day all. As the subject says, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree in the Biden family. In this case, Slow Joe’s son, Hunter Biden, (Hunter? Really), has been booted out of the United States Navy.
The reason for this is simple. Hunter Biden failed a urine test when he tested positive for cocaine. Here are the details from Fox News:
The son of Vice President Joe Biden says he is “embarrassed” after being discharged from the Navy Reserve earlier this year — reportedly after testing positive for cocaine.
Embarrassed? Anyone else probably would have been court-martialed and handed a dishonorable discharge.
The Wall Street Journal, (This is behind a paywall), citing people familiar with the matter, reported Thursday that Hunter Biden’s short-lived military career ended because he failed a drug test after reporting to his unit in 2013. According to the Wall Street Journal, the Navy discharged him in February of this year.
Just how short-lived was Biden’s naval career? According to the Weekly Standard, Biden’s military career lasted one whole month. What’s was Hunter Biden’s response to getting the old Heave-Ho? Getting back to Fox News, Biden made this asinine remark.
“It was the honor of my life to serve in the U.S. Navy, and I deeply regret and am embarrassed that my actions led to my administrative discharge,” he said. “I respect the Navy’s decision. With the love and support of my family, I’m moving forward.”
Hunter Biden is an idiot, just like his old man. He wasn’t some kid right out of collage, he’s 44 years old and a lawyer.
Biden, 44, made the decision to join the military late in life. According to the Wall Street Journal, Biden was commissioned as an ensign in the Navy Reserve in 2013 after deciding the previous year to join the service as a public affairs officer.
I’m surprised they didn’t put him into the JAG office. I wonder if they found something in his law background that made them go “Hmmm, better make him a military mouthpiece where he can’t do any real harm.” Obviously, they haven’t been paying attention to his father, the mouth the roared. And speaking of Vice-President Dimwit, he had this to say when Junior decided to enlist.
Vice President Biden spoke about his son’s decision to join the Navy late in life at the American Legion’s Salute to Heroes Inaugural Ball in 2013, joking that his son’s decision was a result of poor judgment.
“We have a lot of bad judgment in my family,” Biden said. “My son over 40 just joined the Navy to be sworn in.”
I think we can all agree that bad judgment runs in the Biden family, but joining the military wasn’t the wrong decision. Snorting cocaine would be the “bad judgment” thing. Everyone in the military knows that they regularly do drug tests. If you test positive, getting booted out would be the best possible outcome.
As I mentioned above, the Navy could have convened a court-martial, convicted Biden and given him a bad conduct discharge. The military might be a bit lenient on enlisted personnel on their first enlistment, maybe, but an officer? They are supposed to know better. I suspect the only reason they just kicked him out was to avoid the embarrassment to Slow Joe, the shotgun man, Biden. I wonder what kind of political ads would run if Slow Joe manages to become the Democrat nominee for president in 2016? Oh who am I kidding? Biden has as much chance of being President as Hunter does of not sampling nose candy.
