And I want to be Emperor of the Earth. That isn’t going to happen either. Romney was attending a meeting full of GOP Donors when he made the announcement that he wanted to be the Establishment RINO candidate.
The announcement, or statement, has just thrown a wrench into the works of the Jeb Bush campaign. As we all know, Jeb Bush is the RINO Establishment’s heartthrob of the moment. The Jersey Whale, aka Governor Chris Christie has thrown himself on a harpoon and pretty much flamed out. Here are a few details from the Washington Post.
Mitt Romney forcefully declared his interest in a third presidential run to a room full of powerful Republican donors Friday, disrupting the fluid 2016 GOP field as would-be rival Jeb Bush was moving swiftly to consolidate establishment support.
Romney, the 2012 Republican nominee, has been mulling another campaign for several months, but his comments Friday marked a clear step forward in his thinking and come amid mounting tensions between the Romney and Bush camps.
Great, just great. Governor Romneycare wants to fail again in a third run for the Oval office.
“I want to be president,” Romney told about 30 donors in New York. He said that his wife, Ann — who last fall said she was emphatically against a run — had changed her mind and was now “very encouraging,” although their five sons remain split, according to multiple attendees.
He probably threatened to stuff her in with Seamus on their next road trip if she didn’t agree to yet another presidential debacle. So why is this likable idiot planning on losing again?
Romney also harbors doubts that Bush and other Republican contenders can defeat likely Democratic candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton, advisers said, and is wary in particular about Bush’s political skills.
I fully agree that Jeb Bush is a very weak candidate, but then so is Shrillary and so is Romneycare. The only thing the Bush and Romney have going for them is the RINO Establishment’s money, and I have a feeling they are getting tired of supporting one loser after another. There is also another problem these knotheads aren’t considering. The Republican base despises both Bush and Romney.
Romney is the one that gave Massachusetts Romneycare, the forerunner of Obamacare. Romney was in tight with Jonathon Gruber, who was instrumental in shoving Romneycare down the throats of the Massachusetts taxpayers. (Romneycare only stayed solvent due to millions of dollars pumped into it by the Federal Government. It’s not doing so well now)
Jeb Bush wasn’t bad as a governor, but he’s been out of office for a while as well as being off the campaign trail. There’s also the problem of his stand on Illegal Immigration and the Common Core educational system. He’s for both while the majority of Americans, (And most of the GOP base), are dead set opposed to them. Being an elitist, Bush is ignoring the people he needs to actually win the nomination and probably the election.
We have a number of far better candidates waiting in the wings, any one of which I find far more acceptable to either Romneycare of Shrubbery Lite. We have Bobby Jindal in Louisiana, Rick Perry from Texas, Scott Walker from Wisconsin just to name a few. All three have either turned their states around from previous Democrat screwups or in the case of Rick Perry, have the only state economy that was really able to ride out the Obama Depression.
I will not vote for Bush or Romney in the primaries or in the general election. If either of them is the nominee for the Republican Party, I will look at a third party candidate or just write in a name. I suspect that if the Establishment RINO’s do succeed in jamming one of these two idiots down our throats, and we end up with either President Shrillary Clinton or Comrade President Fauxahontas Warren, there will not be a Republican Party for the 2020 election.

I am not a Republican, I am independent of any political party and vote the person. Generally, that person happens to be a Republican.

“there will not be a Republican Party for the 2020 election”
I don’t see a problem there.
Definitely a feature, not a bug. 😉
