Seattle moonbats launch naval assault on Shell Oil

Good day all. I heard about this bit of idiocy from the fine pages of the Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler last week. I’ve been busy so I haven’t had time to comment…until now. It seems that a pack of hypocritical moonbats, (But I repeat myself), have decided to blockade an oil drilling platform owned by Shell Oil.

The-Good-Idea-Fairy-3

They want to keep it from sailing to the Arctic where it will drill for oil. What makes this so amusing is the way these morons are doing it. They are flapping around, barking like the moonbats they are, in kayaks. Kayaks that are made from oil products. Wearing life preservers that are also made from oil products. Here are some of the details from The Daily Mail:

Hundreds of brightly-colored kayaks clogged a Seattle bay as environmental activists protested Shell’s plans to drill in the Arctic. Environmental groups have vowed to disrupt the Anglo-Dutch oil company’s efforts to use Seattle as a home base as it outfits the rigs to return to the Chukchi Sea off Alaska, saying drilling in the remote Arctic waters could lead to an ecological catastrophe.

However, the rigs will drill and in all probability, the only incidents will be stupid kayakers getting run down by the rig as it’s being towed out of the harbor. In any case, what’s amusing is that these knotheads don’t see the hypocrisy in what they are doing. Those kayaks are made of plastic, which comes from oil. The sea going moonbats probably used SUV’s, not noted for their friendliness towards the environment, to transport their kayaks to the water.

You know, I can’t recall ever seeing a Prius with a couple strapped to the roof. Come to think of it, I can’t recall seeing a bike rack mounted on a Prius. That may be due to a complete lack of space to mount things like a roof rack or a bike rack on that piece of elitist moonbat junk. To continue:

Demonstrators have planned days of protests, both on land and in the bay, home to the Port of Seattle, where the first of the two rigs docked on Thursday.

Barking Moonbat

Kayakers on Saturday paddled around the rig yelling ‘Shell No.’ Others unfurled a large banner that read ‘Climate Justice.’

Oh God, the SJW’s have started whining. Someone needs to change their nappies I think.

Environmental groups contend harsh and shifting weather conditions make it impossible to drill in the Arctic, a region with a fragile environment that helps regulate the global climate because of its vast layers of sea ice.

First, I would think that the naval engineers who design these rigs took the conditions into account when they built them. That is what they are paid for after all. Having a rig sink because of the weather is actually considered bad for business, but most of those idiots probably live on trust funds, or work at Starbucks. The only decisions they ever make are what color their next Iphone is going to be.

Allison Warden, 42, said she traveled from Alaska to represent her native Inupiaq tribe, which makes its home in the Arctic. She said whales central to the tribe’s culture are particularly vulnerable to oil spills.

Oh, this next quote is going to be be a mindblower!

‘I don’t know what our culture would be without whaling. It’s at the center of everything we do,’ she said.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! Hey moonbats! Do you know you are associating with someone who murders and eats poor innocent whales? Needless to say, Shell is paying no attention to to the nutjobs in plastic boats.

Shell was bringing in the rigs and moving ahead as planned despite the opposition and a ruling earlier this week by the city’s planning department that the port’s agreement with the company was in violation of its city permit.

This is the same bunch of idiots that is working tirelessly to turn Seattle into the Pacific Northwest’s version of Detroit. This business with the “permits” is no doubt smoke and mirrors. If they actually try anything, they will find themselves hauled up in front of a federal judge who will explain to them just what the laws are, and why they must now pay Shell Oil’s legal fees. Somehow, I don’t think the city attorneys will let them do something that stupid. Or perhaps they too have drunk deeply of the Kool-aid of Progressivism.

Getting back to the stupids, I followed a link from the Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler to another site dealing with this. It’s a blog called The Stranger. I can’t tell if it’s satire or if they really mean what they are saying. For instance:

As Harvard historian Naomi Oreskes told The Nation when asked about the “but we all use fossil fuels” argument: “Of course we do, and people in the North wore clothes made of cotton picked by slaves. But that did not make them hypocrites when they joined the abolition movement. It just meant that they were also part of the slave economy, and they knew it. That is why they acted to change the system, not just their clothes.”

stupid you are

Some kayaktivist named Ansel Herz says, “If someone—or, say, the planet—is getting beaten up with a baseball bat, is it immoral to use a baseball bat to fight back? Inanimate objects that come from our inescapable oil-based economy are inanimate. They can be used for good or bad. We’re using them for good, to move the economy away from oil and stop climate change. Fucking herp derp, people.”

DV the Stupid is strong

Reading the comments, I don’t think these clods are getting the support they expected. Derision, contempt and belittling seems to be the general theme in the comments section. Meanwhile, as I was perusing this blog, I found out that some hippy is hanging off the anchor chain, the idea being to prevent the crew from hauling up the anchor and killing her. The comments there are fewer and more evenly split between moonbats and normal people. The Moonbats all think that the ships crew will just raise anchor and crush this idiot.

Hippie

While that would be the ideal solution in my evil and cruel opinion, that isn’t what will happen. What will happen is the crew will call the Coast Guard and have the little hippy cut loose and thrown in jail for a while. The Coast Guard will also clear the channel when the rig gets under way. I suspect fire hoses will be used extensively. Frankly, I would rather just let the drilling rig and tow ship run down as many of these “Kayaktivists” as possible. Or the captain can practice his golf swing instead.

  1. Sweet slithering mother of shitcakes and syrup, but teh Burning Stoopid is out of control on that “Stranger” blog. Mind you, the solution for that idiot on the anchor chain ought to involve a scope-sighted rifle. . . and bonus points if it’s used to break the chain the twit has attached herself to the anchor chain with. . .

    i.e.

    1. Sudden parting of chain
    2. Idiot starts falling
    3. Shot heard. . .

    • Well if you are in the sporting frame of mind. For efficiency? just issue the command “UP ANCHOR!” followed by “Man the hoses and wash down the (Whatever) Deck!”

      • 1. Too easy.
        2. Traceable. Corporate doesn’t like actions that would make the company potentially liable,
        3. And besides, Guns ? Makes the moonbats howl all the way up into the ultrasonic range. . . that’s GOT to be a bonus

        • Of course it’s easy, and if it gets to that point, the corporation has stopped caring about liability. (Probably going to go skeet shooting using the plaintiffs as clay pigeons as it were) 😉

And think of the screams from the moonbat on the chain, followed by crunching sounds and mass projectile vomiting from the “Kayaktivists.”
