Good day all. I saw this story last week and have just now gotten to it. It seems that Great Britain might be facing below normal temperatures for the next few decades.
Now you may be asking how all this is possible, and how these heretics were able to post these lies about cold weather. After all, we all know that the science is settled and that unless we kill most of humanity, and the remainder live like Neanderthals, the Earth will turn into Venus. Well, it seems that the big yellow ball in the sky might actually have some minor effect on the weather. Here are the details from Sunday Express:
Climate experts warn the amount of light and warmth released by the sun is nosediving to levels “not seen for centuries”. They fear a repeat of the so-called ‘Maunder Minimum‘ which triggered Arctic winter whiteouts and led to the River Thames freezing 300 years ago.
Of course, this is Great Britain, home of the Church of Global Warming. (Algore be praised! Aloha Algore!) There is no way they would let anything get in the way of their religious beliefs.
The Met Office-led study warns although the effect will be offset by recent global warming, Britain faces years of unusually cold winters.
Now, what is causing this and what might happen? It all revolves around sunspots.
A spokesman said: “A return to low solar activity not seen for centuries could increase the chances of cold winters in Europe and eastern parts of the United States but wouldn’t halt global warming.
You mean like what we just went through? The winter where I had SIX FEET of snow in my front yard? Where was all that Global Warming you promised me you lying POS’s?
The latest study, published in Nature Communications, found reduced solar activity will lead to an overall cooling of the Earth of 0.1C. A much bigger cooling effect is expected for Britain, northern Europe and North America where thermometers could drop by 0.8C.
Now for those of us who use real measurement systems, that’s a couple of degrees Fahrenheit. (I’m having trouble finding a good conversion site so you can do the math yourselves) What’s amusing is how all these scientists keep clinging to their Global Warming security blanket.
Met Office scientist and lead author Sarah Ineson, said: “This research shows that the regional impacts of a grand solar minimum are likely to be larger than the global effect. “This study shows that the sun isn’t going to save us from global warming, but it could have impacts at a regional level that should be factored in to decisions about adapting to climate change for the decades to come.”
If I understand things correctly, we’re due for a full blown ice age in about 12,000 years when the Earth shifts on it’s axis. I’m sure that when the ice sheets bury Great Britain and North America, these idiots would still be demanding that “Things be done to stop Global Warming at all costs!”
Now the first time I ever heard about a Maunder Minimum was when I read a novel by John Ringo titled The Last Centurion. The novel had as it’s background a sudden global cooling, along with a Spanish Flu type epidemic and a complete idiot as president mishandling everything. (The foreground story revolved around a soldier who was leading the remaining U.S. forces from Iran to safety after being abandoned by said idiot president. It’s a good book)
Once I read some if his back story I looked up the Maunder Minimum. Basically, the sun stops generating sunspots, and when that happens, it dims a bit. Since it isn’t generating as much energy, we get a bit colder. This is what they are saying could happen. (And probably is) The sun has been very quiet for the last few years. In fact, there were many jokes at the Author’s expense about how he should stop writing since every time he does, his fictional predictions come true.
If we do have a Maunder Minimum, it’s going to get a lot colder, and that will mean shorter growing seasons. Shorter growing seasons means less food. Hungry people will do things to get food including going to war. Warmer temperatures mean longer growing seasons which means plenty of food. The followers of Global Warming want cooler temperatures, therefore they want war, starvation and mass death. Explain to me again why I should support a movement that wants Genocide?

Hey, I like John Ringo. I haven’t read The Last Centurion. I’ll have to scare up a copy. Did you read Live Free or Die?
Yea. the warmists will still demand action to stop global warming “for the children” when New England is under a sheet of ice. Remember they are leftist and mustn’t allow facts to cloud their beliefs
Yes I have Ringo’s Maple Syrup series. 😉
