Good day all. Have you ever given someone a fruit basket as a gift? Well guess what? That now makes you a racist.
Now that you’ve cleaned up your monitor and keyboard Allow me to explain this. Some band members from a Houston school gave a fruit basket to members from a rival school. This set off the Social Justice Warriors of the 1st Perpetually Offended division. Here are the details from Action News:
Band members at a Houston high school may be suspended over a fruit basket they handed over to a rival school that was seen as racially offensive.
Seven band members from Atascocita High School presented their gift to their counterparts in the Summer Creek High School band on the field before a varsity game last Friday. The fruit basket is meant to encourage good sportsmanship.
Sounds like a nice thing to do. So what’s the problem?
Along with candy and a decorated bucket for Halloween was a small watermelon, coconut, pineapple and watermelon gum.
Help me here. I’m still not seeing a problem with this. Would someone please explain this to me?
Humble Independent School District released the following statement:
“It is a tradition for student representatives of competing schools to exchange gifts on the field at varsity football games. On Friday, students from one school presented students from the other school with a watermelon, a pineapple, a coconut, and watermelon gum. Today, school administrators conducted an investigation and after considering the totality of the circumstances, determined that the gift was inappropriate and lacked good sportsmanship. Atascocita High School will not tolerate racial insensitivity.”
Words fail me. These “administrators” need to be summarily terminated from their positions and blackballed from any position in any school system.
The students have been told their punishment might include being suspended and kicked out of band.
Oh I hope those morons try that. Then the lawsuits can begin, and this time the families need to go for cold, hard cash. I believe slander and liable are actionable, along with the damage to these students and their family’s reputations by these idiots.
If I were the lawyers for these students and their families, I would see if I could make the moonbats personally liable rather than exposing the taxpayers of the district to any cash awards. It’s time to start utterly destroying the individuals who pull this garbage. Only then, when idiots like these act in such a moronic manner and are driven into financial ruin, will things start to turn around. Hopefully, these families have already spoken to lawyers.
