Good day all. For the last couple of years, Senator Marco Rubio, (RINO-FL) has been trying to walk back his disastrous “Gang of Eight” amnesty bill. He’s also been trying to wiggle out from under his pro-illegal alien amnesty actions since he started running for president.
Today, however, Marco Rubio just blasted himself in both feet with a Vulcan cannon. He announced that illegal aliens who haven’t broken the law can stay. Here are the details of his idiocy from Politico:
Sen. Marco Rubio says people who immigrated to the U.S. illegally but haven’t committed any major crimes could be allowed to stay. In an interview airing Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” the Florida contender for the Republican presidential nomination said felons shouldn’t be allowed to stay, but those who commit lesser crimes could still qualify. He didn’t specify whether those allowed to stay would ever be able to become citizens.
“If you’re a criminal alien, no, you can’t stay. If you’re someone that hasn’t been here for a very long time, you can’t stay,” he said. “I don’t think you’re gonna round up and deport 12 million people.”
Would someone please explain to this moron that entering the United States without permission IS a crime?
“If circumstances change or you learn something along the way, it’s reasonable to say, ‘Maybe a different approach will work better,’” Rubio said. “So, for example, on immigration it is clear no comprehensive solution to immigration is going to pass.”
When Marco Rubio ran for the senate, I backed him. In fact the Tea Party groups also backed him. None of us realized at the time what an outright fraud and liar he is. The “Gang of Eight” amnesty bill was so despised by majority of the people, that it failed to pass in the House of Representatives. Since then, Rubio has tried to downplay his support for both amnesty and a path to becoming an American Citizen by these criminals.
This statement will rank right down there with Juan! Bush’s remarks that illegal immigration is “An act of Love” instead of the crime that it is. Marco Rubio was moving up in the polls, although the odds of him taking down both Trump and Cruz weren’t good. He might have caused a brokered convention and then gotten the nomination that way. (Of course this overlooks the GOP(e)’s plans to anoint Juan! Bush as the nominee)
With this statement today, he has just locked and loaded a large caliber artillery piece and handed it to Donald Trump. I expect the barrage to start impacting in the next 24 hours. Rubio, like all of the Establishment Republicans, has totally missed just how angry people are about the flow of criminals coming across the border. He may have been walking back his support for the “Gang of Eight” amnesty bill, but this just reinforces everyone’s belief that Rubio will coddle illegal aliens at the expense of American citizens and those who came here lawfully. Stick the fork in, Rubio’s all done.
