Good day all, if this is 2016, and a Tuesday, then there must be some primaries happening, and there are. We have Republican primaries in Michigan, Mississippi, Idaho and Hawaii. As you might expect, the GOP(e) is in full whine and has “Released the Romney!”
Yes, they have failed presidential candidate and all around RINO backstabber ranting and raving on robocalls in Michigan, Mississippi, Idaho and Hawaii, annoying tens of thousands of voters. Here are some of the details from Fox News:
Mitt Romney is blasting out robo-calls on behalf of Marco Rubio and John Kasich — and against Donald Trump — in the states voting Tuesday, marking his most direct appeal yet on behalf of any candidate since he delivered a scorching condemnation of Trump’s candidacy last week.
Romney’s team still insists the party’s 2012 presidential nominee is not endorsing any candidate, describing the latest robo-calls as more a bid to combat Trump than an indicator of support for Rubio or Kasich.
Romney reportedly did pro-Rubio calls in all four states holding contests Tuesday, and recorded a pro-Kasich call in Michigan only.
Do you detect a pattern here? I do. The primary goal of the GOP(e) is to somehow get Marco Rubot to the convention, and be able to hand the nomination to him during a brokered convention. Kasich will also do in a pinch, but they realize he’s even more unelectable than the Rubot, and he is a guaranteed loss to the Democrats in November. You will also note that Ted Cruz is not being suggested. Of course, the RINO’s claim they don’t mind Cruz as the nominee.
“Gov. Romney has offered and is glad to help Sen. Marco Rubio, Sen. Ted Cruz, and Gov. John Kasich in any way he can,” a source close to Romney said in a statement. “He’s been clear that he believes that Donald Trump is not the best person to represent the Republican Party and will do what he can to support a strong nominee who holds conservative values to win back the White House. “
Cruz is conservative, in that he probably might actually shrink the size of government and reign in the out of control agencies. The other two? Please! Kasich and Rubio both support big government and state control over the individuals, just not as much as the Democrats do.
Romney, though, is walking a fine line as he launches his anti-Trump campaign. He insists he’s not endorsing anyone, and is not entering the race himself — and only wants to boost Trump’s rivals in states where they have a chance of beating the Republican front-runner, with the apparent goal of depriving Trump of the delegates needed to clinch the nomination.
So, he’s lying again. What a surprise. Romney might not be running in the primaries, although he wanted to, but if he should, you know, be asked if he would consider accepting the nomination, why of course, he would feel duty bound to do so.
According to a copy of the pro-Rubio message obtained by The New York Times, which first reported the story, Romney indicates that he’s calling on behalf of Rubio and then urges voters to support “a candidate who can defeat Hillary Clinton and who can make us proud.”
Neither the Hunchback of Ohio or the Florida Flamingo Dancer has any chance of beating Hillary. Cruz and Trump are the only ones who could do so, and that assumes that Cankles is the actual nominee and isn’t “The Defendant” come November.
“If we Republicans were to choose Donald Trump as our nominee, I believe that the prospects for a safe and prosperous future would be greatly diminished — and I’m convinced Donald Trump would lose to Hillary Clinton,” Romney reportedly says.
And you and the other RINO’s and Beltway Boneheads in the GOP(e) will do everything you can to make sure that happens, up to and including voting for that corrupt cow. The GOP Establishment is in utter denial over what is happening with both Trump and Cruz. They have seen one RINO candidate’s campaign after the other simply collapse and watched Trump and Cruz gain strength. Instinctively, the RINO’s understand that if Trump, or to a lesser extent, Cruz wins the nomination and general election, the game is over for them.
Cruz will probably pare things back for the RINO’s and Trump will probably clean house at the RNC. The RINO’s would rather lose the election than see that happen. If Hillary Clinton wins, and the Democrats take both the house and senate, the GOP(e) is just fine with the situation. What they fail to see is that the base has had it. This very well could be the last election where the Grand Olde Party has any relevance. But hey! At least Trump or Cruz won’t be in the Oval office.
