Employment picture is not good

Good day all. As you should know, I have been looking for a job for a while now. I have not been able to find one. I am not alone in this problem. Currently, some 94 million people are either out of work or unable to find a full time permanent job. Now the latest figures are out and the picture is getting worse.

holes

There are several headlines on the Drudge Report about the recent slowdown in new jobs. Last month was the worst in the last 7. Here are some of the details from Money Watch:

Companies scaled back hiring in April, adding just 160,000 new jobs, in a sign the U.S. economy still hasn’t recovered from an early-year chill.

Actually, the economy never recovered from the 2008 recession. What we’ve been seeing from the Obama Administration are “Cooked Books” regarding the employment figures.

The unemployment rate, meanwhile, was flat at 5%. More people dropped out of the labor force and the so-called participation rate fell for the first time in seven months. That could mean people find it a bit harder to get a job.

Here’s where it gets funny. All the numbers we see from the Obama Regime are what they call the “U2” numbers. The number listed, (5% in this case), are the number of people on unemployment. Once those benefits run out, you are no longer considered to be unemployed. In order to get an accurate number, you need to refer to the “U6” numbers. Those numbers cover everyone who isn’t working or only working part time and wants to work full time. The actual numbers are between 9.9% and 14.5%.

Another problem is the overall economy has been limping along for 8 years. Statistically, the “Great Recession” that happened in 2008 ended by 2009. The problem is that the actual growth has never gone much over 2%. Normally, when a recession ends, there is massive growth, generally over 4%. Now, the economy is stagnating at around 0.5%. For many people, finding a job has become nearly impossible.

Many people wonder why things are so tough. The answer is both complex and simple. The simple part is the Untied States Government. The government under Obama has increased the costs of business in this country to levels that are not sustainable. We have Obamacare, the EPA, actually the entire alphabet soup of federal agencies all happily telling people how to run their businesses.

Ronald Reagan on Government

One of the hardest hit is what is generally called “Small Business.” These are companies with a small number of employees. It might be a small machine shop, or a software company. Whatever it is, they usually employ under 150 people. Thanks to all the regulations, as well as the massive levels of taxation, the backbone of the American economy is shrinking, not growing.

For the large corporations, the ones who can buy congressmen and state legislators…I mean lobby them for beneficial legislation, they have the means to protect themselves to some extent, but even they are suffering under the weight of the over-regulation and taxation we’re suffering from. I understand that there is several trillion dollars of corporate profits sitting offshore right now that the big corporations would love to bring back into the United States. However, thanks to the idiots in Congress, they will be hit with the highest tax rates in the world. So, that money that could be used to expand in the United States is collecting interest in a bank in another, business friendlier country.

We are now in the midst of an election to select the next President. It will be either Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump. If the American people are stupid enough to elect Clinton, we can expect another 4 years of more of the same failed policies at best. At worst, Clinton’s plans and policies will toggle the United States into an outright depression.

Donald Trump is a businessman, and not part of the Washington Establishment Republican party. This has driven the GOP(e) absolutely nuts. However, if he does win the presidency, Trump will probably try to reign in the out of control regulatory system as well as open debate on just how to overhaul, (Forget that reform nonsense), the current tax system.

Donald Trump

Whoever wins, things need to change or we may as well fold our tent and end the United States.
