Good day all. With all the screams of shock and horror by the Crony Capitalist Elites, this little story of yet another crooked Democrat, other than Cankles Clinton, getting caught with her fingers in the cookie jar slipped under the radar.
This time we have an Arizona Democrat lawmaker who has been indicted on fraud charges. This, in and of itself isn’t all that unusual. We know that Democrats are firm believers that the laws don’t apply to them. (See Hillary Clinton) This time, we have a Democrat who was stealing from the Food stamp program after opposing measures to prevent food stamp fraud.
Here are the details of one Cecilia Velasquez from Fox News:
An Arizona Democratic lawmaker who once voted against welfare fraud protections in her state has been indicted on felony charges of defrauding the food stamp program. According to the indictment unsealed earlier this week, state Rep. Cecilia Velasquez was charged with three felony counts: unlawful use of food stamps, fraudulent schemes and practices, and theft.
Ho hum, another Democrat criminal. Why is this one special?
This past February, Velasquez had voted against a bill aimed at giving the same state agency stronger anti-fraud tools – a program that could have quickly detected her alleged fraudulent activity.
The Arizona Department of Economic Security began investigating Velasquez in 2014. According to the Arizona DES, Velasquez fraudulently used $1,726 worth of food stamps between 2013 and 2015.
This moron stole $1,726 dollars? Over 2 years? Stupid doesn’t begin to cover this.
Arizona state Rep. Anthony Kern, who sponsored the House bill, called the indictment “sad.”
Channeling Donald Trump I see. Or are you sad that she got caught doing such penny ante crime?
“It is appalling that an elected official representing the people of Arizona would steal from the poor, while consistently saying she is trying to help the poor,” Kern told Fox News.
Hello??? Democrat!!! It’s what they do after all. Steal from everybody and give it to their personal bank accounts in the Cayman Islands. In this case, I suspect it went into a jar in the back of the closet.
Josh Archambault, senior fellow with the Foundation for Government Accountability, pointed to the failed legislation as the kind of measures the country needs to tackle fraud.
“There is so much low-hanging fruit to catch in this country when it comes to welfare fraud, and sadly, every day that goes by without reform allows for abuse and steals resources from the truly needy,” Archambault told Fox News.

According to Arizona Inspector General Juan J. Arcellana, the investigation began with a tip in November 2014.
So someone ratted her out? I guess they were upset that she cut them out of her “Profits.”
“The indictment of State Representative Velasquez is the culmination of an extensive multi-year investigation,” Arcellana said in a statement.
Multi-year investigation? That probably cost more than what she stole. I smell an asset seizure in the future.
“The forthcoming judicial proceedings will ensure due process for the involved parties.”
Of course, Due Process is very important to Democrats, as long as it’s Democrats that benefit from the 5th Amendment section on Due Process. Now if she had been a Republican gun owner? Throw her in jail, do not pass go and do not bother with things like due process and trials.
Velasquez’s office has not responded to Fox News’ request for comment.
Probably due to all her office workers out looking for new jobs before this pile of horse manure falls all over them. No one was in the office to answer the phones. Frankly, with the pathetic amount this moron stole, she should be drummed out of the Democrat party for sheer incompetence. Less than $1800 over two years? She would have done better knocking over liquor stores and gas stations, and in a shorter period of time.
