Good day all. With the news of Cankles skating on espionage charges, perhaps we should look at one Bradley Manning. He is currently serving a 35 year sentence for giving secret information to Wikileaks.
Manning, who now demands to be called “Chelsea” apparently tried to kill him/itself. According to Fox News:
Chelsea Manning, who has been serving a 35-year prison sentence for her role in leaking U.S. government secrets, was treated and released from a prison hospital Wednesday after she tried to hang herself, according to media reports.
Both CNN and TMZ reported that the incident occurred at Fort Leavenworth, an all-male facility in Kansas. Few other details about the incident were immediately known. TMZ, citing prison officials, reported that she has been released from the hospital and is being monitored.
Both Manning and Snowden have been heavily discussed in several forums I read. These forums have large numbers of active duty and former military personnel on them. There is a lot of debate on Snowden, both for and against him with one retired lieutenant colonel remarking that Snowden should be tried, but that he wasn’t all that certain about convicting him. With Manning there is no debate. All the current and former military people want him shot or hanged. So Bradley/Chelsea Manning, do us all a favor and try harder next time, ‘kay?
