Trump goes to Mexico

Good day all. Today Donald Trump is due to release his immigration policy. This will be a far more detailed plan then his, to be honest, general statements. However, in a very surprising development, Donald Trump is going to Mexico to meet with the President, Enrique Peña Nieto.

Donald Trump

This is “YUUGE!” President Nieto, (And apologies if I don’t have the name quite correct), has been slamming Trump for months. Not a lot is out about the meeting, but here’s what I have so far from Polizette:

GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump will travel to Mexico on Wednesday to meet with Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto, LifeZette has confirmed.

Sources including Mexican officials involved in the planning of the visit, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, stated the meeting would cover a broad variety of topics ranging from trade to security to immigration and the contentious issue of border enforcement.

It is expected that Trump adviser and former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus and Alabama Sen. Jeff Sessions, along with high-ranking Mexican officials, will attend the meeting.

All I can say is, WOW! Trump is also bring his “First Team” with him. What worries me is the potential security issues. Apparently, I’m not the only one who is concerned.

The meeting will occur despite concerns from both Mexican security services and the U.S. Secret Service.

I can see why the two teams would be worried. Right off the bat, you have the Cartels that would be very interested in murdering Donald Trump. Which cartels? Well, there is the Sinaloa Cartel, Los Zetas, Beltrán-Leyva Cartel, the Clinton Crime Family and a few others.

The trip is particularly historic for Trump in that no previous non-incumbent presidential nominee of a major party has ever traveled to Mexico as part of his campaign.

Meanwhile, Cankles is at day 5 of her 3 day nap.

Hillary Clinton for president?

The stakes for both Donald Trump and the Mexican president are high.

For Peña Nieto, the meeting represents a tremendous opportunity to offer Trump, the potential next president of the United States, an olive branch. Peña Nieto has made negative comments about Trump in the past, including a suggestion Trump was like a fascist dictator.

The meeting will offer Peña Nieto the chance to clear the deck with the potential next leader of a nation on which his own is almost entirely economically reliant — and earn goodwill for himself and his country among Trump supporters.

For Trump, the historic meeting comes at a time when the GOP nominee is ramping up a high-stakes bid to win over support from traditionally Democratic minority voters in the United States.

The one big issue both sides need to talk about is the problem of the illegal aliens crossing into the United States from Mexico. There is also the problem of American jobs being shipped down into Mexico and of course the Cartels and drug smuggling. I don’t expect Trump or President Pena Nieto to reach any agreements, but having the door open is a good deal for both of them and for both countries.

If the two men can keep this civil and agree that there are a lot of things that have to be discussed, then it could be a win-win for both of them. However, if President Pena Nieto comes out and blasts Trump, and Trump holds is tweeting back, then Trump will come across as the statesman.

Trump-Great

I suspect that Trump will be giving President Pena Nieto a preview of his speech on immigration. As of right now we have no real idea what will be in it. I can guess that Trump will be pushing the “Trump Wall” since that’s really one of the few promises he’s made. He will also probably talk about getting the current crop of illegal aliens in the Untied States, out.

There has been some talk that Trump is going to walk back his immigration stance, but I don’t see that happening. He might be changing some of the details, such as downplaying a special force designed to round up illegal aliens. Honestly, I really never saw that as a genuine possibility. The expenses would be tremendous.

The NeverTrump(ers) and Rinos4Hillary have also claimed that Trump would go for amnesty for illegals. From what I’ve heard, his “amnesty” plan isn’t that different from mine. Leave the United States on your own, pay any taxes you owe and then apply for legal immigration.

The one person who will be hurt by all this is Hillary Clinton. Trump has once again gotten inside her decision loop, along with the decision loops of her allies in the Media and the Democrat Party. Whatever happens, it will be interesting to see how the left and the GOP(e) deal with this.
