Oliver Stone confronts reality

Good day all. Film producer and all around Progressive moonbat Oliver Stone has finally noticed something everyone else has known for years. That Government surveillance of Americans is out of control.

recovering dumbass

Stone, who’s preferred film genre tends to be Anti-American, has supported Barack Obama since pretty much day one. Imagine my surprise when I read that he equated Obama with the late, unlamented East German Stasi. Here are the details from Yahoo News:

US film director Oliver Stone on Thursday accused President Barack Obama’s administration of implementing a surveillance system worse than that of the feared Stasi secret police in East Germany.

shocked-face

Speaking at the San Sebastian film festival in northern Spain, where he presented his film “Snowden,” Stone said many in the US had grown disillusioned with a president they once saw as “a man of great integrity.”

eye roll

Great integrity? Time to put the crack pipe down Ollie. By the way, how’s Snowden doing in the theaters? Last I heard it was doing an impression of the nuclear strike on Hiroshima. Anyway, what has your panties in a bunch?

Obama “has created… the most massive global security surveillance state that’s ever been seen, way beyond East Germany’s Stasi, way beyond that.”

Well what do you know? Hell has frozen over. We agree on something.

“In the name of one thing — terrorism — to change all the rules is not a marginal response, it’s an extreme response,” he told reporters.

“Let’s beware of fascists and tyrants who tell us ‘we are going to protect you’. I don’t want that.”

So why did you vote for him twice, (Or 4 times if you also voted in the Primary), you moron??

He, (Stone), insisted “there was no agenda” behind the release of his latest movie just weeks ahead of US elections, but said he hoped Obama would pardon Snowden, who currently lives in Russia after escaping his homeland.

Pull the other one why don’t you? It has a bell on it. Of course Stone has an agenda. It’s always been how he can do something that hurts the United States. While it’s not impossible that Der Fubar might pardon Snowden, it’s highly unlikely. Frankly, he has a whole list of people he needs to pardon first, starting with just about everyone in his administration. Besides, Snowden needs to be tried in a court of law. Convicted? That I’m not to sure about.

Oliver Stone makes films that are technically good. By that I mean the camera positions, sound, lighting getting good performances from the actors, etc. The plots leave a lot to be desired. This is one of the reasons that his current movie, Snowden, has essentially failed at the box office. Snowden may have performed a service, but the way he did it leaves a lot to be desired. That and, lets be honest, there is really no way you can make his real life entertaining. Stone, of course, won’t be able to see that and I’m sure he’s already working on his next “Masterpiece”, the “Vast Right Wing Conspiracy” to get Hillary Clinton.
