Good day all. Who says corrupt Democrat politicians never go to jail? Well, it is true if your name is Hillary Clinton, aka Felonia von Pantsuit, you will always be above the law. However, if you are the former attorney general of Pennsylvania?
It’s off to the house with many doors for you! Over the last couple of years, I’ve mentioned the now former Attorney General for Pennsylvania, Kathleen Kane and her apparent willingness to abuse her office. Last year it finally caught up with her and she was criminally charged. A few months ago, she was convicted of Perjury and other things. Now she has been sentenced and she is on her way to prison. Here are some of the details from The Washington Times:
Former Attorney General Kathleen Kane was sentenced Monday to 10 to 23 months in jail for illegally disclosing details from a grand jury investigation to embarrass a rival and lying about it under oath. Kane was also sentenced to eight years of probation by a Montgomery County judge who said Kane’s ego drove her to take down enemies and break the law.
Interesting. I thought nobody went to jail for lying under oath? Oh, right. You have to have the last name of Clinton to avoid that problem.
Judge Wendy Demchick-Alloy said Kane assumed an “off with your heads” mentality as she ran the state’s top law enforcement agency. The judge called Kane a political “neophyte” who failed to make the transition from campaigner to public servant after she took office.
“This case is about ego — the ego of a politician consumed with her image from Day One,” Demchick-Alloy said. “This case is about retaliation and revenge against perceived enemies who this defendant … felt had embarrassed her in the press.”
So, in other words, your typical Democrat. Kane was elected to office in 2012 and as soon as she was sworn in, things started going south. As I recall, there was an investigation underway regarding the usual corrupt officials, and she shut it down. It was that case that started things rolling for her eventual downfall. I’m not up to date on the goings on of that case, but there is plenty of information about it online.
Kane was the first woman and first Democrat elected as the state’s top prosecutor.
And now?
She was led out a side door with her hands cuffed in front of her, flanked by deputies.
She had been a stay-at-home mother,
And I bet she’s now wishing she had stayed at home.
and former assistant county prosecutor, before using her husband’s trucking fortune to run for statewide office in 2012.
Well that’s turned out to be a complete waste of money, hasn’t it?
She quickly became a rising star in the state Democratic Party before her office devolved into turmoil as career prosecutors came and went.
Funny how competent people react when dealing with a class 1 incompetent idiot. I’ve seen this happen in the private sector, where it was common to see new hires for fairly senior positions realize they were lied to and dealing with incompetent management simply walk out the door at lunch and not come back…ever. Besides the people she’s hurt with her vendettas, she’s also destroyed her family life as well.
Kane and her husband are now estranged and share custody of their teenage boys.
Somehow, I don’t think her children will be spending weekends at Mom’s for the next few years.
Earlier Monday, Kane’s 15-year-old son pleaded for leniency while her former deputies described an office demoralized by her leadership and terrorized by “Nixonian espionage.”
“Through a pattern of systemic firings and Nixonian espionage, she created a terror zone in this office,” said Erik Olsen, a career prosecutor who is now the chief deputy attorney general.
I don’t have a problem with her son trying to keep his mother out of prison, that’s what sons do. However, the deputies describing her management style as Nixonian probably sunk her. From what I’ve read, even Nixon wasn’t as bad as Kane was.
Prosecutors called her crimes “egregious” and pushed for jail time. They said a paranoid Kane ruined morale in the 800-person office and the wider law enforcement community through a calculated scheme to embarrass rival prosecutors who had left the office.
Kane “repeatedly misused her official authority to advance her personal vendettas,” District Attorney Kevin Steele wrote in a sentencing memo last week.
Gee, who does this remind you of? I know! Pretty much every Democrat office holder. You do see this happening with Republicans, but nowhere near as often. We’ve seen it recently in the Obama Regime as they’ve unleashed the Internal Revenue Service on their political enemies, (Which is anyone who doesn’t kiss Obama’s butt).
If Felonia von Pantsuit manages to win the election, we will see her unleash far more than the IRS on her enemies. Von Pantsuit is so evil, she could order drone strikes on people such as Matt Drudge.
Kane should be an example of how the system works. She isn’t. She was just so egregious in her actions, that the Democrat elite decided she needed to go. Compare that with Hillary Clinton and how her case was white washed by James Comey and the Department of Justice. Of course, Kathleen Kane has not left a trail of bodies behind her in her political past. Since that was a line she wouldn’t cross, she was sacrificed. I hope she enjoys the next couple of years being in a real life version of “Orange is the new Black.”
