Good day all. Yesterday I reviewed the new Amazon Prime show, The Grand Tour. This is the far better replacement of the BBC’s Top Gear, which basically collapsed after the sacking of Jeremy Clarkson. The review was positive, but as you might expect, some of the perpetually offended took offense at the name of their new test track.
Jeremy Clarkson dubbed the track the “Eboladrome” due to the layout being similar to the shape of the Ebola virus. Surprising absolutely no one, some morons took offense at the name “Eboladrome” and promptly made their feelz known on Twitter. According to World News:
Jeremy Clarkson new series has been greeted as a glorious comeback after an ignominious exit from the BBC. But Jeremy Clarkson’s show The Grand Tour has brought with it the familiar whiff of controversy thanks to a tasteless joke about ebola.
And what would that joke be?
The resemblance of a racetrack in his Amazon Prime series to a magnified image of the virus led Clarkson to dub it the Eboladrome.
And the remark brought an immediate backlash from viewers startled by the former Top Gear star’s apparent insensitivity over a disease that killed 30,000 in West Africa two years ago.
Excuse me? This offends you? My, but you are easily offended, but then, those who found this offensive are part of the “Perpetually Offended” class. Besides, this is Jeremy Clarkson we’re talking about. He sent his verbal filters in to be refurnished decades ago, and the Royal Mail lost them. One of the reasons Amazon bought this show was due to Clarkson saying the first thing that pops into his mind. And the second thing…and the third.
My advice to all of you who can’t handle Jeremy Clarkson’s way of saying things is simple.
I’m going to watch the Series Premier again. No one at Anger Central belongs to the Perpetually Offended class, and frankly, if you started waving something that offended you in our faces, we would just taunt you unmercifully.
