When you’ve lost Rolling Stone…

Good day all. We are in the last days of one of the most destructive presidential administrations in United States history. In a few short weeks, Barack Hussein Obama will be tossed onto the ash heap of history, where he belongs.

The one problem is, he’s determined to do as much damage as possible and make it very difficult for incoming President Donald Trump. Recently, Obama expelled a number of Russian diplomats, accusing the Russians of hacking the DNC’s and John Podesta’s email. The Obama Administration has provided no actual evidence. Now one of the most progressive periodicals out there, Rolling Stone magazine, has started questioning te Obama Administrations honesty. Here is what Rolling Stone has to say:

In an extraordinary development Thursday, the Obama administration announced a series of sanctions against Russia. Thirty-five Russian nationals will be expelled from the country. President Obama issued a terse statement seeming to blame Russia for the hack of the Democratic National Committee emails.

“These data theft and disclosure activities could only have been directed by the highest levels of the Russian government,” he wrote.

Here’s the thing. We have since learned that the Democrats generally can’t be bothered with securing their computer systems. John Podesta fell for a phishing attack that a 15 year old script kiddy could have come up with. Wikileaks has repeatedly stated that the Russians were not the ones who provided the DNC’s data, that it came from an inside source. Felonia von Pantsuit’s home brew mail server, aside from the fact that it was illegal, was also wide open to hackers.

This dramatic story puts the news media in a jackpot. Absent independent verification, reporters will have to rely upon the secret assessments of intelligence agencies to cover the story at all.

And since they all supported Obama and von Pantsuit, they will happily glom onto anything the regime tells them. However, there are a few, a very few who are concerned about taking the information from Obama at face value…again.

Many reporters I know are quietly freaking out about having to go through that again. We all remember the WMD fiasco.

“It’s déjà vu all over again” is how one friend put it.

You can see awkwardness reflected in the headlines that flew around the Internet Thursday. Some news agencies seemed split on whether to unequivocally declare that Russian hacking took place, or whether to hedge bets and put it all on the government to make that declaration, using “Obama says” formulations.

Here’s the problem for the MSM. Currently, no one believes them. It’s gotten far worse in the last year as people saw just how in the tank the Mostly Stupid Media was for Felonia von Pantsuit. That was also something that came out in the Wikileaks data, that many in the news media were coordinating with the DNC and von Pantsuit’s campaign.

The New York Times was more aggressive, writing flatly, “Obama Strikes Back at Russia for Election Hacking.” It backed up its story with a link to a joint FBI/Homeland Security report that details how Russian civilian and military intelligence services (termed “RIS” in the report) twice breached the defenses of “a U.S. political party,” presumably the Democrats.

I followed the link provided by Rolling Stone and all it leads to is a headline with no details. In other words, par for the course for the “Paper of Record.” According to Rolling Stone:

This report is long on jargon but short on specifics. More than half of it is just a list of suggestions for preventive measures.

In other words, no actual hard proof.

But we don’t learn much at all about what led our government to determine a) that these hacks were directed by the Russian government, or b) they were undertaken with the aim of influencing the election, and in particular to help elect Donald Trump.

And here’s the problem with all the accusations that the Russians wanted Donald Trump to win. Trump is quite willing to work a deal with Putin and Russia, but if Putin screws Trump and the United States over, Trump will retaliate in some way. Felonia von Pantsuit, aka Hillary Rodham Clinton, had already shown that she is easily bought, taking bribes from the Russians and transferring American uranium mines to Russian companies. (The link leads to a New York Times story)

It would actually be in the interests of Russia for Felonia to win the election, not Donald Trump. Putin has already tried a few “light” tests against Trump and Trump punched back. Putin knows that Trump can’t be bought and is, like Putin, and unlike Obama or von Pantsuit, a patriot. This brings us back to Rolling Stone and why they are having problems with Obama’s “response” to the alleged Russian hacking.

The problem with this story is that, like the Iraq-WMD mess, it takes place in the middle of a highly politicized environment during which the motives of all the relevant actors are suspect. Nothing quite adds up.

Actually, there was a lot more evidence of Saddam’s chemical weapons then there is of Russia’s hacking the DNC. Many don’t recall, and the media certainly didn’t report it, that a large convoy left Iraq and went to Syria just before we invaded. Those trucks were carrying the Iraqi chemical weapons inventory, now being used in Syria’s civil war, on both side. We also found plenty of evidence that Iraq was ready to restart chemical weapons production at any time. Finally, the information on Iraq’s WMD’s came from great Britain, not the CIA. Oops!

If the American security agencies had smoking-gun evidence that the Russians had an organized campaign to derail the U.S. presidential election and deliver the White House to Trump, then expelling a few dozen diplomats after the election seems like an oddly weak and ill-timed response. Voices in both parties are saying this now.

Republican Sens. John McCain and Lindsey Graham noted the “small price” Russia paid for its “brazen attack.” The Democratic National Committee, meanwhile, said Thursday that taken alone, the Obama response is “insufficient” as a response to “attacks on the United States by a foreign power.”

First, John McCain and Lindsey Graham are warmongers of the first order. They can’t wait to send American troops into battle and it doesn’t matter against who. Worse, McCain is an old line cold warrior who can’t quite understand that the Cold war is over, and we won. If these two idiots had their way, we would already be launching a nuclear attack against Russia. It doesn’t help them that they both are firmly in the NeverTrump camp and would rather that Felonia had won the election.

One of the excuses Obama used was that American diplomats had been subjected to an “unacceptable level of harassment” by Russian internal security. One diplomat was roughed up rather badly. However, it turns out he was actually a CIA agent, and apparently, a clumsy one at that.

Ryan Fogle was unequivocally described as a CIA agent in many Russian reports. Photos of Fogle’s shpionsky rekvisit, or spy kit – including wigs and a city map that were allegedly on his person – became the source of many jokes in the Russian press and social media.

If the Russians messed with an election, that’s enough on its own to warrant a massive response – miles worse than heavy-handed responses to ordinary spying episodes. Obama mentioning these humdrum tradecraft skirmishes feels like he’s throwing something in to bolster an otherwise thin case.

Thin? Try almost transparent. If the Obama regime had any actual proof, they would be on the roof of the White House trumpeting it to the four corners of Washington. Then there is the problem of the MSM claiming that the Russians hacked the election system to rig the votes.

Adding to the problem is that in the last months of the campaign, and also in the time since the election, we’ve seen an epidemic of factually loose, clearly politically motivated reporting about Russia. Democrat-leaning pundits have been unnervingly quick to use phrases like “Russia hacked the election.”

The Mostly Stupid Media, led by the New York Times and Washington Post, are in absolute denial that Felonia von Pantsuit lost the election. The reasons why are many, and include the release of the hacked emails from the DNC and John Podesta. As to Russia, or anyone else actually hacking the ballot boxes

That isn’t possible. The MSM has been alleging, without outright saying that the Russians got into the electoral system and flipped votes from von Pantsuit to Trump. What has come out since the election is that there were a number of “irregularities” but rather then favoring Trump, they ended up favoring von Pantsuit instead.

As noted in The Intercept and other outlets, an Economist/YouGov poll conducted this month shows that 50 percent of all Clinton voters believe the Russians hacked vote tallies. This number is nearly as disturbing as the 62 percent of Trump voters who believe the preposterous, un-sourced Trump/Alex Jones contention that “millions” of undocumented immigrants voted in the election.

Actually, thanks to California’s extremely lax standards, as well as past history, there is a very good chance that a significant number of unauthorized persons did vote in the election. However, it would take a dedicated recount and examination of the voter rolls to determine if this happened. After the recount fiascos in Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, there is no way the Democrats want to see this happen.

Now we have this sanctions story, which presents a new conundrum. It appears that a large segment of the press is biting hard on the core allegations of electoral interference emanating from the Obama administration.

Of course they are. Their candidate lost the election, and since no one THEY knew would actually vote for Donald Trump, then the vote must have been hacked by the Russians.

Did the Russians do it?

Probably not. The way the systems were hacked was, bluntly, amaturish. Also, the Russian have other things they want to get into and breaking into the DNC’s mail system was probably not on their schedule of things to do last year.

Very possibly, in which case it should be reported to the max. But the press right now is flying blind. Plowing ahead with credulous accounts is problematic because so many different feasible scenarios are in play.

So, situation normal for the MSM then? If you don’t have actual information, make stuff up. If you do have information, but it goes against the narrative, lie.

On one end of the spectrum, America could have just been the victim of a virtual coup d’etat engineered by a combination of Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin, which would be among the most serious things to ever happen to our democracy.

Well, if you want to play that game… Barack Obama is a Muslim and has been supporting radical Islamic groups with the intent of destroying the United States.

But this could also just be a cynical ass-covering campaign, by a Democratic Party that has seemed keen to deflect attention from its own electoral failures. The outgoing Democrats could just be using an over-interpreted intelligence “assessment” to delegitimize the incoming Trump administration and force Trump into an embarrassing political situation: Does he ease up on Russia and look like a patsy, or escalate even further with a nuclear-armed power?

This is exactly what Obama and his minions are trying to do. The last month has seen Obama doing everything he can to hamstring the incoming Trump Administration. Obama has been ably assisted by the GOP(e) NeverTrumpers such as John McCain and Lindsey Graham.

It could also be something in between. Perhaps the FSB didn’t commission the hack, but merely enabled it somehow. Or maybe the Russians did hack the DNC, but the WikiLeaks material actually came from someone else? There is even a published report to that effect, with a former British ambassador as a source, not that it’s any more believable than anything else here.

I’m of the opinion that the Russians weren’t involved, but that when the Wikileaks posts started that were embarrassing the Democrats, they jumped on the train and rammed the throttle full forward. One major detail that the MSM, and this included Rolling Stone, hasn’t mentioned is the actual contents of the messages that were released by Wikileaks. No one, with the exception of Donna Brazile, has denied that the contents of the messages were fake. (Brazile has reason to say they are fake. She was fired from CNN for passing confidential information to the von Pantsuit campaign)

Whoever hacked the DNC and Podesta’s email did America a service. It showed just how corrupt the Democrats are and to what lengths they would go to win an election, up to and including rigging their primaries to sandbag Bernie Sanders. Basically, whoever gave all the email to Wikileaks did nothing more than help the Obama regime keep one of their promises. That was to be “The most transparent administration ever!”

All they did was provide information to the American voters, and they looked at it and decided that Felonia von Pantsuit and the Democrat party were nothing more then a bunch of criminals who would stop at nothing to win. The results? Donald Trump will be sworn in as the 45th president of the United States on January 20th, provided Barack Obama doesn’t start a world war or something.

My thought, if Russian were involved it was teen agers who were disappointed that it took less than 5 minutes to crack the servers.
