Good day all. President Trump is wasting no time in undoing the damage his predecessor, Barack Obama, did to the United States economy. His latest assault on King Putt’s “Legacy” is reversing the Executive order stopping the Keystone Pipeline.
The company that was trying to build an oil pipeline from Canada to the oil refineries on the Gulf Coast, was ready for approval years ago. However, Obama and then Secretary of Bribes State. Felonia von Pantsuit, killed the project for political reasons. Now, President Trump has revived it. Here are some of the details from Fox News:
President Trump plans to sign executive orders reviving the Keystone XL and Dakota Access pipelines, which had been stalled under the Obama administration, sources tell Fox News.
While the Canada-to-Texas Keystone project was at the center of a heated debate for years until the Obama administration rejected a key permit in November 2015, the Dakota pipeline more recently became the subject of fierce protests until the Army Corps of Engineers in December blocked construction of a controversial segment.
This one has been controversial for one reason only. Moonbats lying through their teeth. The claims they made were proven time and time again to be false. Of course, that didn’t matter to Der Fubar, and he fully expected this project to be killed by his anointed successor, Felonia von Pantsuit. However, a small problem arose. The people kicked Obama’s third term to the curb and put Donald Trump into the oval office.
The company behind the Keystone XL project, TransCanada, has not yet reapplied for a pipeline permit, after having withdrawn its request under the Obama administration.
I suspect that application will be made in the next week or so, depending on how long it takes to generate the paperwork. I expect it will be approved in a matter of days this time. All the original work was completed long ago and nothing has changed, other than who is now wielding the pen and the phone.
The moves are likely to spark a new fight with environmentalists. Even before Trump’s orders were official, Sierra Club Executive Director Michael Brune put out a statement blasting what he called the “dangerous” decision.
“The Keystone pipeline was rejected because it was not in the country’s interest, and the environmental review of the Dakota Access Pipeline was ordered because of the threats it poses to the Standing Rock Sioux. Nothing has changed. These pipelines were a bad idea then and they’re a bad idea now,” he said.
The pipelines were blocked by Obama for one reason only. Politics. Also, the oil was still transported, it just so happened that the method, railway, was also heavily invested in by certain big money Obama supporters. Trains, however, are actually less safe than pipelines. Of course, that isn’t a long term problem for the Sierra Club. Their goal is the end of all technology and most humans.
The pipelines were one of the few issues that put the Obama administration at odds with labor unions, some of whom have voiced hope the Trump administration can work with them to promote job creation.
Looks like the Unions have their answer. However, Trump is not exactly pro-union. He is pro-worker. He will work with unions, but if given a preference, like most business leaders, he will bypass them if he can/ In this case, the Unions and Trump’s plans coincide nicely.
Trump said Tuesday during his meeting with auto industry bosses that he considers himself an environmentalist, but called current regulations “out of control.”
Most people consider themselves environmentalists, but there is a big difference between wanting a clean environment and what the radicals want. In the latter case, the radical environmentalists want the entire continent emptied of all people and all traces of civilization buried. Unfortunately for the radical environmentalists, their Dear Leader was not replaced, as was expected, by Queen Felonia. He was replaced by someone who sees through their agenda and is determined to bury them instead.
President Trump has been on the job for a few days and already Obama’s legacy is well and truly trashed. What will things be like in a few months?
